Am I the only one having ios 6 ipad 3 wi-fi issues

As another data point:

I'm running a Linksys E3000 router w/ Toastman v1.28.7500.5 MIPSR2Toastman-RT K26 USB VPN firmware.

Router had been flawlessly serving simultaneous 2.4GHz and 5GHz APs for many moons for my three iOS 5.x devices and Mac Mini. Upon upgrading to iOS 6, the two iPhones (which can only connect to 2.4GHz AP), would either connect to the wifi but not have any LAN/WAN connections working or would not connect to the AP at all.

The iPad was also unable to connect to the 2.4GHz AP, however, was able to connect to the 5GHz AP just fine.

Rebooting the router worked maybe one out of five times. Rebooting the iOS devices worked maybe once out of five times. Performing a "forget network" on the iOS devices and then reconnect made no discernible difference. Performing a "reset network settings" on the iOS devices made no discernible difference. Resetting the router to defaults and NVRAM reset made no difference. iOS devices were still unable to connect, even with default wifi AP settings with no encryption.

Finally settled on turning off router's 2.4GHz AP and deploying a Linksys 320N running Toastman v1.28.7497.x firmware as a 2.4GHz AP, and all has been well ever since.

Mac Mini appeared to weather all of this just fine, retained ability to connect to either 2.4GHz or 5GHz APs without issue.

Yesterday, after posting, I toggled off Safari from the iCloud settings and my wifi connection seems to be much more reliable. Turning off Safari from iCloud turns off iCloud tabs, a feature I'd gladly trade for stable wifi. After turning off Safari, I toggled off wifi in settings and then turned it back on.

I had the same problems with '11bgn mixed mode' wireless router setting, however it works perfectly with '11g only' mode. I've checked it with two routers. Just try it (if you are able to change your router settings).

Nope....same with my iPad 2, plus the app store is blank

I noticed my Channel Width and Control Sideband were set to 20MHz and Lower, respectively. On my 320N 2.4GHz AP that's working better, those settings are 40MHz and Upper, respectively, so I changed the main router's AP to match, and now the iPhone has connected again and is running fine.

We'll see how long this lasts.

Same with one of our iPad 2's the other one is working fine (fingers crossed)

Imagine if Microsoft released an operating system update which disabled WIFI access like the iOS 6 appears to have done. What would have happened? A class action lawsuit.

I remember when there was a theoretical problem with Toshiba hard drives and a class action lawsuit made them pay out about $1 billion. Apple need to resolve this issue or provide an easy way for people to revert to iOS 5 if they are not to face something similiar.

A lot of older people rely on the iPads for communication with the outside world and this is causing real problems. Hospitals are now deploying iPads as well in care of patients so this is going to have real impact.

It pains me to say this but the Company was so obsessed with its lawsuits it did not care about releasing a shoddy upgrade to customers. Look at the iMaps fiasco - Woolworths in the UK is suddenly back in business - it went bust about 5 years ago. Look at ditching YouTube - why?

I will never go for another upgrade until all the bugs are sorted out. Very disappointed customer. I am not buying any more Apple products until this is sorted.

Previously my ipad would drop the Internet connection every time I closed the case and I would have to disable and enable wifi to resolve. Changed the router config to G from N and now it seems to work OK.

Same problem with my IPad 2. I went with Apple products to NOT have this garbage happen. Everything was fine before I0S6.

Scratch that, I still have to turn off then on wifi each time for Internet connectivity with IOS 6.

After turning our faulty iPad off for around 24 hours also going from France to Spain we now have wifi working.

All 3 of our devices now have wifi available.

I am having this problem too with wireless connectivity on my iPhone 3G and iPad 2. Everything was fine before I upgraded to OS6 this weekend. I have a D-Link DIR-615 router and there is no problem with the wireless connectivity to my PC or PC Laptop. So I don't want to fuss with disconnecting or resetting my router. Funny thing - I can connect to the wireless at work just fine. I've tried to "forget this network," or "choose another" and reset, at home, but it doesn't work. Occassionally I'll be able to see the wireless at home kick in on my iPhone or iPad, but it doesn't do anything connection wise (except hang up).

I don't know a lot about computers, so that's about the most detailed info that I can provide. I went into the Apple store and almost bought the Airport Extreme thinking that might solve the problem. But after reading some of the responses I'm going to hang tight. My computer is old, so am thinking of migrating to an iMac, but I might just wait now.

The only saving grace - unlimited AT&T on my 3G data, but am eating through my data plan on the iPad.Lesson learned: research upgrade bugs before actually upgrading.

After the IOS 6 upgrade I can connect to our WAP-Enterprise WIFI, but now it doesn't keep the connection. After about 5 minutes it drops. With IOS 5 the WIFI network (along with the coporate login credentials) remained connected.
