White icon called "Springboard" after iOS 6

After upgrading to iOS 6, I now have a white icon called springboard that I cannot delete. I've tried rebooting my iPhone, however it still persists. By the way, my iPhone is not jailbroken.

Anybody else see this?

Thanks!

i have updated using iTunes and it happened to me too, also i have one more icon called SharedPackageE which is white as well, i have tried to restore many times and to delete contents and settings, unfortunately nothing fixed my issue, anyone knows any other way to fix it? also, i'm waiting for my new iPhone 5 and i'm worried about it will appear on the new phone too cause i will use my backup anyway.... any idea? thanks

Well i think its not ok, and that's why the issue is happening when you restore a backup, and it is not happening only to me so I assume that it's not my backup but there should be something wrong on "our" backup which is similar that is causing the issue, when ill restore my backup on the new one ill get the white icon, by the way I have two icons, the springboard one and "SharedPackageE" which is white too.

Really annoying, I'm looking on internet everywhere but I'm not finding anything. If ill find a workaround ill post it here for everybody.

so, i have restored the backup on the new iPhone 5..... and....? i still have those 2 icons on the screen, maybe because my backup was with those icons? so, do i have to keep those icons for ever? there is no way to delete it 😟 absolutely hammered by this thing...... maybe once ill get hom i can delete it manually from the iTunes interface, hopefully will go away...

It's 4.5 hours later, and the Springboard icon is finally gone. All it took was:

(1) A complete restore of the phone.

(2) Setting the phone up as a new device.

(3) Manually selecting the apps I wanted to install (about 235 in all).

(4) Reorganizing the apps into folders using iTunes.

(5) Re-reorganizing the apps into folders, because iTunes just flat ignored the previous attempt (yes, I remembered to hit "apply").

(6) Relogging into all wifi accounts (this will take a few days to complete, as I move between home and various offices).

(7) Re-pairing with various BT devices

(8) Recreating all email accounts, contacts and calendar entries (thankfully, I use Exchange, or I would have been really hosed.)

(9) Relogging into all apps on the phone individually.

(10) Reautenticating with work, banking and other secure services.

(11) Blowing away all previous iCloud and iTunes backups for the phone.

(12) Creating new iCloud and iTunes backups.

All to get rid of one annoying little white icon.
