I tried all of the solutions including changing Computer Name without reliable success. I have Windows 7 64-bit. The solution that so far has worked repeatedly is the following:
1. Repair "Apple Mobile Device Support" in uninstall programs. Reboot PC and iPhone.
2. Connect iPhone to power supply only.
3. Open iTunes.
4. Note: the iPhone wifi "Sync Now" button was grayed out at this time, even with iTunes open. However, your iPhone does show up on iTunes!
5. On left side of iTunes you can see your iPhone, select Sync. After my sync, it showed that I had too much data stored on my iPhone. This is temporary and was resolved later automatically.
6. Restart iTunes and your iPhone.
7. It will take a few minutes for the iPhone to appear on your iTunes via WIFI so be patient.
8. With the iPhone plugged into power only, you should now see the wifi "Sync Now" button. I didn't have to press the iPhone sync button because it automatically started to synch with iTunes, however the "Cancel Sync" button was working.
9. After the sync, the correct amount of data stored on my iPhone showed up on iTunes. note: I performed 10 wifi syncs and they have all worked. I believe you have to do a wifi sync from iTunes to fix this problem, at least for PCs.
Good luck!
