iOS 6 iPhone 4s battery drain

Did an OTA update to iOS 6, and my iPhone 4s is draining quite quickly almost a percent every three minutes

Only apps running are Settings, Messages, Phone, and Mail, and Location Servces are on for Google, Maps, Nearby, Reminders, Safari, Siri, weather, and YP Mobile (sames as before the iOS 6 update) All apps are up to date, and restarted the phone twice. On local WiFi, with AT&T cellular service, four bars.

Phone would get warm at times as well.

Maybe it's an anomaly, else, lets see if this post grows...

my drainage is at least as bad as yours. With just the OS processess running (nothing launched or running by me), my processor use is almost 90% while idle (using System Activity Monitor). Set time automatically is set to OFF, photo stream is set to OFF, all location services that I can manage myself are set to OFF. At this rate my battery will be out of juice within hours

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

I might have dodged this bullet but I did the following after doing a new install and cleared my phone.

1. Turn off bluetooth (always seems to be on by default).

2. Turn off notifications for the stock widget.

3. In Restrictions, go to Location Services>System Services (at very bottom) Turn off Location-Based iAds

4. Turn brightness down (but not too much that you can't see the screen inside and outside).

5. Turn off iTunes Match

6. Turn off Shared Photo Streams

Similar here. I had 76% as of when I finished the download 3 hours and 40 minutes ago, and now my battery is at 40%.

In the intervening time, I had one 3-minute phone call, 2 emails (less than 5 minutes on email), 2 text messages, and phone asleep with screen off the rest of the time. I turned off all location services except Find My iPhone, and set Spotlight Search to index only email, contacts, and nothing else.

The last 2 steps worked like magic for me when upgrading to iOS 5, but have not helped much if at all with iOS 6. I just did a hard reset, and will report back in several hours regarding the apparent effect of the reset.

I'm having the same issue. I seem to be losing a percentage every three minutes or so. I have Location based iAds turned off as well as Passbook as those were the only two new things on from my 5.1.1 install. Yes, I've cycled the power and done a hard reset. No difference. Hope this is taken care of soon because if not this is going to drain my battery way sooner with less usage.

Update - after a reset (as per above) and a charge to 100%, after 2 hours of idling my battery drain has been 20%, that's 10%/hour of doing nothing but idling. At this rate my battery will be drained in 10 hours. That is of course if I do nothing but let it sit there not being used. I used to be able to get over 24 hours of standby and 5-7 hours of use on a single charge. Now I am going to use it and see what happens
