Where is the STREET VIEW?? Take away Google Maps but ATLEAST give us the STREET VIEW FUNCTION!!!!!!!!!!!! THis STINKS!!!

You can go into Safari, and enter maps.google.com
Then, "Add to Home Screen"
That will make a shortcut to allow you to use Google Maps.
Street View is owned and copyrighted by Google, so Apple could not keep Street View after getting rid of Google Maps even if they wanted to.
Your best bet is to do what mistercoffee has suggested, and you can wait until Google makes a dedicated Maps App.
Tried all this - you get blocked from Streetview! Should have never updated. ðŸ˜
This really is BAD. Street view was one of the best things on he iPad and now it is Not to be seen. I'm a sad iPad user today. :-<
Street View wasn't even a feature of the iPad. It's a service offered by Google that had up until now been ported through to iOS devices via the Google Maps App.
Now that Google Maps is no longer on iOS, we need to move on and find alternatives, such as the Safari version of Google Maps(maps.google.com), or even, *gasp* an Android device.
One slight problem there, browser version off maps requires flash to run street view, so we can't. Good one apple! If I'd had known iOS 6 was loosing street view I'd never have updated my phone, that's how reliant on street view I'm am for work etc. should have researched more before, gutted. Just hoping google do an app sharpish.
Since Street View is a feature of Google Maps provided by Google, and Google Maps has gone, it should've been obvious that Street View would go too.
Workaround: Get the Puffin browser for a few bucks. It runs flash. You can get the free version which gives you 14 days of flash to decide if you want to buy it. It's always good to have another browser anyway.
use flyover and zoom.. better anyhow.
I didn't even know there was an update till I synced it, let alone what it was gaining/losing. Just think its a bit rubbish really. Apples beef at consumers expense. They could have left it on there and also added there own

Thanks Smart Alec. Apple should have created a similar street view function. This new map Stinks and I regret updating. They should let you back out.
Puffin was no better. I want my google maps back. And Siri stinks too.
Don't get your knickers in a twist. I agree the new Maps is crap (see my other posts). So many huge errors it is ridiculous. I was just saying why Street View is gone.
The new maps is a absolute joke, no satelite view when doing turn by turn nav only when searching. No distance until next turn. she just says turn onto the street name. The satelite images are from about a year ago. Why do I get sucked into the hype of Apple
