iPad fails to connect to WiFi after OTA update to iOS 6

After the OTA update to iOS 6 my new iPad fails to connect to my WiFi network at home. My LANCOM router reports the following issue:

Index: 62294

Zeit: 19.09.2012 21:08:28

Interface: WLAN-1

Ereignis: Rejected Association from WLAN station xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx []: ()

Adresse: xxxxxxxxxxxx

Grund: Cannot support all requested capabilities in Capability Information field

It has worked flawlessly in the past with iOS 5 on my new iPad and iPhone 4. At the moment I hestitate to update my iPhone too.

Anyone with the same issue or an idea how to fix it?

I am bashing my head, i just updated to iOS6.0 and i am unable to connect to my WIFI, i did several thing like forget network and enter username and password to join WIFI, i can see the wifi icon on top menu, and immediately Safari browser comes with login page, and the Offline Version of Apple site is showing in the Safari browser, stating the "Page you are trying to see is not available". I think this is the flaw with iOS6.

My Wifi connectivity still a problem.

PLease reply with any workaround solutions.

Same problem. WiFidiscconect iPad 3 (new iPad) after update to iOS 6, iphone 4.

Just fixed iphone 4 by turning off celluar in settings and reconnecting to wifi. After wifi connected turn cellular back on.

Fixed ipad 2 by turning on airplane mode, wait a minute, then turn back off and reconnect to wifi.

Identical issue on iPad 3 after OTA to iOS 6. Tried turning off and then on, reconnecting to access points etc.

With what Apple was thinking...How can a multi billion company launch update that makes all Apple devices-bricks....all IPones, IPads - all gens...no comment...

This happened to me to but I was able to fix it!! (I'm not sure it will work for you also, but its worth a shot). I simply turned off wi-fi then turned it back on a few seconds later, then it let me connect.

I had the same issue but in another post it was discovered if you delete the cookies and history on your safari browser and restart the device this allows it to connect, I don't know why this works I am just passing along what worked for me.

I had the same issue after spending about an hour trying to fix it I decided to do a firmware update for the Apple Time Capsule. This solved the problem.

Good way to lock all users into apple.com... The awkwardness of this bug is that we have to log on to the net to update the iPad to fix it. But then when we want to log on the net, all I can do is viewing apple.com in a popup....
