My ipod classic battery won't charge, and won't run on normal usb, but will run on a car charger. What I need is an external power pack with enough output to run the ipod, but will also let me connect to a usb on the PC at the same time (for iTunes). Are there any products out there? Thanks

Why not just replace the battery as it sounds like the battery is completely shot and in need of replacement.

Looks far too fiddly for my clumsy fat fingers, and the Apple Geniuses won't do it. Otherwise I wouldn't have asked. Anyone else seen an external ipod charger with USB output?
I have never seen such as an addon for iPods.
