After upgrading to iOS 6, i tried to add an exchange account for my google calendars. I end up in an endless loop of it asking for my password.

Completely delete account and start over only to end up in the same loop. It goes through all the setup, appears to be ok saves the account and then about 10 seconds later starts prompting me for a password...

All settings are correct (server is m.google.com) user name and password are correct.

thoughts?

thanks!

iPod touch (4th generation), iOS 6

Google calendar sync problems here too w/ iOS 6.  One of my calendars only syncs some of my events.  Some old events show up, many repeating events do not show up.

Having a freak out here too.  After downloading IOS 6 all of my calendar (and now contact) information is gone on my Entourage (2008) on my Mac Book Pro (10.8.2).  The data is still on my iphone (Mac calendar), iCal (on my Mac) and iCloud.  I have been able to add some test events on my iphone and Mac and they seem to sync up with each other, but all the old data will not sync with Mac (Entourage)...HELP!!!

I did sort this in the end. An old googlemail account had been put on the phone during the OS restoration, and deleting t fixed the issue.

What is the "exchange sync" and how do you delete it...?  Thanks!

Configure Google calendar synchronization to no longer using the Exchange sync, but using GMAIL

This worked for me!  Delete the problematic calendar account on your iPhone, use the GMAIL option to set up new calendar (even if you don't use GMAIL).  If you don't use GMAIL you will get a warning that the mail server setup didn't work, just un-select the Mail option and leave Calendar turned on.

    Thank you!

I'm having a similar problem to D. Rue where both my Gmail and Exchange accounts only pull in some of my calendar items and others are a day or two out of date. For example, yesterday, on my iPad, I changed the time of one of my meetings and it was synched to my exchange account just fine. Today, on my iPad, the item is out of date, showing the original time while my exchange account shows the correct time. My Gmail account is having the same issue.

I'll try what others are suggesting, remove the gmail account and recreate it using Gmail and not exchange. I guess I also try to remove my exchange account and recreate it to see if that does the trick.

I'm having this issue on both my iPad and my iPhone. My Mac iCal app works just fine.

Side stepping Exchange worked for me. For Gmail I'm now using Apple's built in Gmail account setup and for my Exchange account I moved to IMAP and CalDav and CardDav.

    Thanks for the tips all.

I take it back. I'm still experiening some issues with iOS6 on the new iPad and iPhone 4. Items from my iCloud account are stuck on my phone that are not in iCloud and an item from my work Exchange account (now over CalDav) can't make it's way to the devices.

I think I'll wait on Apple for fix. Seems like an iOS issue.

Still struggling with this!  From my iPhone (on iOs6) the calendar syncs just fine, also back to calendar in laptop.

In iPad calendar sync stopped happening yesterday some time. Tried many of the suggestions around, culminating in deleting Gmail account and re adding.

I notice that if I just add it with mail it works fine.

If I try to add with calendar or notes it will not work. Further, if I try to add calendar or notes AFTER adding account with just mail, it sits there saying "turning on calendars/notes" for ever. Nothing happens.

I can access all Google capabilities with Google iPad app, but that rather negates the benefit of having your calendar accessible in iPad when offline!

This is clearly an iOS6 and (quite likely iPad specific) issue.

I was able to resolve the "Exchange will not accept a password" problem by going to https://accounts.google.com/IssuedAuthSubTokens and getting a new "Application Specific Password" for my Exchange account.
