VirtualBox stopped working with the update to 10.8.2

I just upgraded to 10.8.2 and VitualBox stopped working.

This is the error:

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine dev_env_oraxe.

VT-x is being used by another hypervisor. (VERR_VMX_IN_VMX_ROOT_MODE).

VirtualBox can't operate in VMX root mode. Please close all other virtualization programs. (VERR_VMX_IN_VMX_ROOT_MODE).

Interface: IConsole {db7ab4ca-2a3f-4183-9243-c1208da92392}

Does anyone have a clue?

I don't want to be forced to restore from backup.

Thanks

I called Apple up, they seem to think they didn't disable hardware virtualization - VT-x just changed the way it can be accessed. If a way to access this isn't restored, the software virtualization route that will likely need to be taken is far from ideal. Especially since we had VT-x before this firmware upgrade.

This does not only affect VirtualBox, Parallells, or VMware though, it also affects things like CrossOver which is rather interesting.

Same here. Just updated to 10.8.2 (12C54) and got the following error -
