After upgrading to ios 6, iMessage stopped working. Messages are not delivered. I tried everything. Deactivate and activate. Change email, etc.

Having this same issue, please help! I've done everything also.
Yea i am having the same issue apperently apple is not aware of it where almost all my friends are having the same issue with their Iphones and Ipads also iThouches. My suggestion will be wait till apple fix the bug or you can downgrade easily back to 5.1.1 again which will work as usual.

My imessage is not working at all either. It is just saying waiting for activation on my phone, but is working fine on my macbook and my ipad 2.
Not working here either. Updated iPad, iMessage no longer works. Didn't update iPhone 4, iMessage still works.

I was having this problem. It seems to be working fine now. (iPod touch 4g)
restart your ipod and it won;t work anymore
Go to settings, then choose "messages". Then turn iMessage back on. Mine turned off after the update also for some reason. Now its fine

I had the same problem with my iPad. I guess if you live in a country where facetime is disabled, the imessage activation just screws up.
To solve the issue, I went to iTunes, changed the country of my account to UK. Then activated imessage succesfully. Then changed the country back to UAE.
Note: if you dont change back the country, you wont receive updates to your apps.

also, did you do this via itunes on the computer or through the phoene?
I just upgraded to iOS 6 and my iMessages have stopped working too. Updated the software straight from my phone and iMessage is still switched on in Settings but won't send or recieve anything through iMessage. 😟
hi, I have the same issue, i thought it could be a network issue but evidently not. I have changed the internet settings to be correct for giff gaff, i have deleted emails from imessage which seemed to work but the progress bar gets stuck at about 80%. it sent an imessage over wifi from email however it never got the 'Delivered' or 'Read' status so it seems that its not working, does anyone have any suggestions? I have the 16GB iphone 4s
