After upgrading to ios 6, iMessage stopped working.

After upgrading to ios 6, iMessage stopped working. Messages are not delivered. I tried everything. Deactivate and activate. Change email, etc.

Tengo un ipad2 wifi 16 gb.

iPad 2, iOS 6

I had the same problem with my iPad. I guess if you live in a country where facetime is disabled, the imessage activation just screws up.


To solve the issue, I went to iTunes, changed the country of my account to UK. Then activated imessage succesfully. Then changed the country back to UAE.


Note: if you dont change back the country, you wont receive updates to your apps.

hi, I have the same issue, i thought it could be a network issue but evidently not. I have changed the internet settings to be correct for giff gaff, i have deleted emails from imessage which seemed to work but the progress bar gets stuck at about 80%. it sent an imessage over wifi from email however it never got the 'Delivered' or 'Read' status so it seems that its not working, does anyone have any suggestions? I have the 16GB iphone 4s
