Try the following:

- A reset. Nothing is lost

Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset>Network Settings

- Restore from backup

- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

I am having this issue too on both my iPhone 4s and iPad 3rd gen. Tries to connect to the network then pulls up that funky little pseudo-browser thing inside the network settings that goes to an apple page that is 404 not found.

So I reset network settings per the above, had to re-enter my network password, no go. Still gives me that "pseudo-browser" thing and goes to apple.com and a 404 not found page.

This is a bit unacceptable.

Restoring phone now.

Scratch that...

So, when that little pseudo-browser page comes up i DON'T press "cancel". I just wait, and it fixed itself after a few moments.

I had the same problem with my 4S. I tried to connect to my network but for some reason the phone suddenly switched to an Apple.com page with a "Sorry, that link isn't available." or some such thing. I thought about it for a second and found that if I quit all of the open browsers (iCabMobile, Safari and Chrome) I could connect to my network. I suspect that a login page for a restaurant network was causing a problem. Anyway, close your browsers then go to the network settings and try to re-connect.
