no wifi on ipod touch 4th gen with ios 6

Whew. I thought I was the only one experiencing this issue. I'm glad it's not on my end.

I have the same problem here with my iPod Touch 4th gen 8GB. I'm reverting back to 5.1.1 until they get it fixed.

I have the same Prob!! its 7:30 EST and still not working at all..

I just had this problem. After many restarts and forgetting network. I just reset my router and it hooked right up. I've been running ios 6 since the first beta and nothing major has happened like this until the final release. I don't know what the exact issue is but try resetting your routers.

Had the same issue with my 4S, while phone/ipod is on, hold the sleep button and the home button, does a force reset on the device. Done it on my, its working grand 😀... but for how long

I was having the same issue on my iPod Touch 4g, however it just started working for some reason. Here's what I did, not sure if it will help:

1) Connect to computer, perform sync

2) Opened App Store

3) Kept trying to connect to wifi through popup

4) After a few minutes of mashing the apple page went away and it connected

Oddly I didn't get this issue at all on my iPad, but I'm just glad it's gone from my iPod Touch now. That ends about 15 minutes of frustration :\

I did a hard reset on two different iPods 4th generation. Didn't make a difference.

Reset my router - didn't make any difference

had same problem , was updating through usb to my laptop via itunes. same thing as stated , showed i was connected but when apple page came up it would disconnect , tried reboot,force reset , nothing , I solved it or it solved it when I signed in to apple on my laptop (via wifi) asked me to verify id twice immediatly after wifi started to work normally on ipod.

go click on renew lease works fine after that!

I too had this problem and was able to get mine working but stepping through the setup and after the Wifi went away continued on without WiFi. Once I got through the initial setup wizard and retruned to the home screen, I was able to go the Settings for Wifi and select my network. All has been fine since. It may just be a problem in the setup wizard.

Fixed. Had the same problem with our airport extreme in the office but I pulled out a Mifi and it worked fine there (no roque apple.com page) so then I rebooted the airport extreme and re-attached to it and it works like a charm. Definitely a bug but rebooting the router maybe the fix. Hope this helps folks.

Same problem. I am FRUSTRATED!!!!!!

I had the same issue on my iPad 2. I gave it a static IP address and it has worked since.

Did a hard reset once it didn't work. Did another hard reset and now it works. Hoping this doesn't happen again.
