All i had to do it restart my ipod 4g and i was able to connect to my network fine.
Held down the top power button (did shut down) then held it down to power up.
I fixed it! I had the same problem on my iphone 4s. I just synced it with itunes and after a minute or two it started working.
Hope it helps
just tried it again and it works now 😀
Same here inline 4s and iPhone 4 both in my house. It was working fine since the upgrades at 1:30EST then about 15 min ago nothing, but its back on now! For how long though?? If it doesn't get fixed soon ill be frustrated. This is something that has far too many reports where Apple should've tested very well before it rolled out!
I had the same issue one two iPhone 4s. I went into settings, wifi, connected to my network then went into the settings of the network and renewed the lease. This seemed to fix the issue on both phones.
Many are finding success by enabling WMM in the QoS settings on their routers. I disabled, then re-enabled it on my router and my wifi now works. Again this is if you own and have access to your router. Public spots will have to either fix their routers or wait for Apple to fix this bug.
Updated to iso 6 with iPod 4th G. Samething no connection. Went under wi fi and press the "forget this Network" then reconnected, that work for mi.
Had the same problem.
I held down the home button and the lock button until it reset, and it worked after that. Hmm...
Had the same problem! What worked for me was going to settings-> general-> cellular and turning that off. Wait a few seconds then turn back on.
This fix solved it for me on my iPhone 4s with the same issue.
1. Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data.
2. Close all open apps by double tapping the home button, hold an app until they all shake and tap the - sign to close each one.
3. Power down the device by holding down the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off.
4. Power back on.
Hope this helps.
I fixed it by disconnecting my device from my computer, locking the screen, plugging it back in, and then trying to connect to a network. Hope it helps 🙂
with similar frustration of immediate wifi disconnect on my iphone 4s, i came on here to read about everyone's similar sorrow. by the time i got to the end of the discussion wifi had magically fixed itself. for once in my post-adolescent life ignoring the problem actually resulted in it fixing itself. again, apple has opened me up to a whole new outlook on life...
Quite annoyed by this issue. I also wasn't thrilled to find my apps strewn all about after the "upgrade." I feel like a fool for downloading iOS 6 so quickly.......
This workd
Hard reset worked for me on iPhone 4S
Just restart, airplane mode, wi-fi forget, etc. did not work.
