Upgraded to iOS6 now I can't use wifi on iPhone 4S

SOLUTION?

After logging into this this apple support forum I was able to get wifi. Do you need to maybe log into the apple site that comes up? Someone above mentioned it as well.

Had the same issue - went into Settings, General, Mobile Data and turned off the Mobile Data. I was then able to connect to the WiFi. After that I turned the Mobile Data back on. Powered off the iPhone and then back on and WiFi still working. This was on a 4 and on a 4S.

I am dealing with the same issue, but using an iPhone 4. I also found once I turned on airplane mode and just connected WiFi it worked... but that's a terrible work around.

Edit: After finding that wi-fi worked without 3g enabled, I set "forget network" and then reset all network settings. Turned cellular data on, then turned on my wifi, joined network and it all works.

I was having the same issue after upgrading my new iPad. All of a sudden it appeared to start working a little later without doing a thing.

iPhone --> Setting --> Wi-Fi --> (choose a network) -->

Select your Wi-Fi network then blue right arrow then Auto Join

Both me and my partner cannot login to OUR wireless router with both iPhones and iPad running iOS6.

and its not the router, or I wouldnt be able to post this message 😉

Done all the usual tricks. re-booted router, cleared router cache and stuff, blagh blagh blagh.

After panicking.....

I did this as posted above earlier:
FIX:

Settings > Wi-Fi > (Network...) > "Blue Circle Arrow"

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and set:

HTTP Proxy to Auto

Then download the airport utility. powered off and on then this is fine. GOOD LUCK!

Please turn off Do Not Disturb that the wireless will be able.

I had the same problem and here is how I fixed it...

I was orignally trying to attach to an enterprise network that required a SSL cert.

I just attached to our guest network that doesn't need a cert. I was then redirected to a page on apple's web site that said successful.

I then disconnected from our guest network and attached to our secure network and had no problems.

I guess it checks that you can get to the internet prior to you finishing your authentication.

Same problem here, but there is one solution that seems to work for me:

"Forget" the network, then rejoin. It's been working fine so far...

I'm surprised that Apple didn't catch this bug. This kind of mistake just doesn't seem acceptable for a company that claims to champion in user experience and perfectionism.

OK Temp fix for now. (works for me)

Turn ON ask to join networks.

Select YOUR wifi, and then "Forget this Network"

Select your wifi again, and re-enter password (if you have one.. you should!)

presto!

Also, try adding static details (if you know how)

Hi just had same problem.

Go to settings

Wifi

Blue arrow next to your wifi

Scroll down and change proxy HTTP from manual to auto

Had same issue with no wifi and just kept hitting the wifi connection I wanted multiple times really fast and it hooked in. Now it works fine

For iphone 4S. use your 3G network to log in apple web first. after that you can use wifi. Working fine...

Not sure if this wi help guys (i have ipod) but it happened to me too. What i did was turn off the ipod then hold the home and lock button until it turned on again. My wifi is up and running again. Try it out doesnt hurt
