I upgraded to iOS6, now I'm getting a "Log In" screen popping up when I try to connect to an UNSECURED (my own) wifi router. I get an www.apple.com page that says "Hmm, the page you're looking for can't be found."

my flat mate and I had the same problem earlier with our iphones 4s, but suddenly both connected without problem. Weird!

Believe it or not, I actually found a really easy/stupid fix for this. Open the wifi settings, choose your network, and then as soon as you see the little check mark appear (before the weird non-existent webpage pops up) hit the home button. Just kinda got lucky, took a guess and this totally worked. I'm sure there'll be a fix eventually, but for me this works for now.
try this, it worked for me:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
I work for a cellular provider and we've had calls about this issue too. If having the phone forget the network, powering the phone off and on, and trying to connect again I've been resolving it by:
Settings < General< Reset < Reset Network Settings
Choose FORGET the current connections, then select your Router and the normal Login Screen appears. Worked for me! (Had me worried with the Apple login screen)

I fixed mine by resetting Comcast cable modem and then reset my linksys wireless router.

This is the answer! Use safari, go to the url https://appleid.apple.com then select manage my apple id. Then log in with your id and password. Then go back to settings and your wifi will connect.
Apparently the site they have you automatically going to from the wifi select page to see if you can surf is the wrong page.

To those suffering from the dreaded "apple.com login page" when trying to connect to a wifi source, go to your settings and the wifi. From there, scroll to the bottom and switch Ask to Join Networks to "ON".
The problem is they removed the "auto join this network" setting. But your phone cache remembers it.
You need to re-set your network settings. Or simply turn on "ask to join network" then forget and re-setup your wifi connection.
Same with me; it just started working by itself.

worked for me, but after reading this thread it seems like after 5:00pm everyone's wifi seemed to start working?
