iPhone 4S, iOS 6
I did what Ashleyramos00 did but i waited until the WiFi connected befor i left that page and instead of going back to the network screen i hit the home button. That seams to be a workaround that worked for me.
mine just randomly started working idk how or why
Ditto, turning off Autologin worked for me, thanks for sharing! Though hopefully Apple can sort this out....
Suddenly fixed.....very odd.
Think it was something on apples end because everyone I know that was having the same problem says the wifi just started working again on its own.
It seems to be an issue with how iOS 6 handles dhcp from the router (I have a current gen 2012 AirPort Extreme) when I manually plug in the correct network settings I am able to connect and stay connected - otherwise ingest the login landing page as if I'm on a public wifi like a Starbucks and I can not connect
after playing around with it (reset network settings, on/off airplane mode, powering the darn thing on/off a couple of times and yelling at it), my wifi FINALLY works. just give it some time, i suppose??
Was about to post about this but everything is fine now.
I would like to know what happened as well.... I was having the same problem as all these threads and then like magic it is working.
yes he means Auto Join
it works for me now but weirdly:
1. I have been on iOS6 since GM but this just happened now
2. I tried toggling auto join before and there was no effect
Thanks everyone
happy i could help 🙂
😊
I have had success switching the Proxy setting to "Auto" for the wifi network that I am attempting to join.
Her tip isnt what fixed it. I didnt do what she said and now mine is also working. Apple happend to fix whatever problem there was just as she gave her advice. Right place right time.
Hmmmmm. Works like a charm now...... I went back to all my devices and it just started working.....
Looks like they did fix it - dhcp is working again - odd
