You do not need to reset anything. Sounds like a glitch that lasted for 40 minutes. It went down around 4pm PST. Just retry.
what the EFF is going on? how can we all experience the same thing then it disappear? wifi is all local, how can Apple affect it?
Thank you!!! It worked for me!
same problems here with my two iPhone4S and the New iPad.....this his bad Apple...how could this happen??😠
Changing HTTP proxy to auto fixed my issue. No longer going to apple login page and wifi is working fine again.
wow that was a necessary step that Apple had to do.....😕
it works for me all of the sudden!:)
Hey everyone, just go to your SETTINGS, then Wi-Fi. Under "Ask to Join Networks", turn it to "ON". That has fixed pretty much everyone's issues
Clicking the arrow next to the network name and toggling "Auto-Join" off and on eventually got it working for me.
I did try first using the "Forget this Network" button and then re-entering the network name and my password. I don't know if that was required or not.
Thanks chocoboco, this is working now!!!
Just started working for me too. Very strange. 15 minutes ago nothing doing.
I was having issues too and I turned wifi off and on on both my iPhone 4 and iPad 3 and they both connected to my home network again. Strange.
Did that before so something different must happened … now it works… WIERD thing!
I had the same issue.
Turns out settings for celluar data was reset during the update.
Actually this happened too me before when I updated to iOS5.
To correct the issue enter the correct settings for cellular data for APN, MMS and Internet tethering. 🙂
If you have not written down the settings from before the update you can contact your provider to get the information needed.
Good luck!
Click the blue arrow, set the HTTP proxy to Auto
