App Store, Can't access purchased items?

I can't access the purchased items on my iPhone 4S from the App Store. It just hangs and then quits. I have reset network settings etc and nothing has helped. Apple can't replicate the problem.

As previously posted - try this as iOS6 does change your default store settings...

Make sure you are logging into the various stores with your correct Apple Id. For some reason, both my iPad & iPhone reset themselves to my original Apple Id., but my purchases were made against my "xxx@me.com" Apple Id. Oh joy! A real pain in the rear, but having signed in with my xxx@me.com Apple Id. on both devices, everything works again.

I just love the way that little things have been changed in the iOS6 upgrade... OK, it asked me whether I wanted to associate my puchases with my xxx@me.com Id., but I didn't know what the implication of saying no was!

Hope that works for you.

Dave.

I saw that fix and tried it but it didn't work.

My iOS 5 device which works well is set for xxxxxx@mac.com . Originally the just set up Mini, was set with xxxxx@me.com and does not show purchased items. I just changed to Mini to xxxxxx@mac.com and tried the purchased items and it did the same thing. When I try to list purchases, it just dumps to the iPad main screen.

I just wanted to verify operation but signing in on the original iPad with the xxxxx@me.com account but it changed it now list it as xxxxxxx@mac.com. It adjusted my xxxxxx@me.com to xxxxxxx@mac.com. Interesting, it won't even allow me to be logged in as @me.com.

Sorry... It worked for me, but your problem sounds somewhat more complicated.

The thing that bugs me is that Apple don't seem all that concerned about the problem that appears to be affecting more and more people - and yes, I do expect to be chastised for my criticism of Apple as has happened many times before, with this reply probably being deleted by a moderator!

That's probably not a bad idea because that way, you can insist that the the Genius Bar guys raise a problem ticket for you - that way you should get some form of response from Apple, unless you get the stock answer of "It's a known problem that we're fixing", the one I got when I reported the auto graphics card switching problem on my MBP after I upgraded to Mountain Lion (still not fixed though, 5 months on)... Ah well... C'est la vie!

OK, I reported this issue to apple Covent garden UK store about 5 months ago. I could not see purchased apps on both my iPad & iPhone. I have over 1500 apps and ios6 tries to load all the apps so you can scroll through, but both iPhone & iPad run out of memory, so the app crashes. The way to get around it so you can see your purchased apps, you need to hide all the apps that you don't need and can be done in iTunes on your PC or Mac. IOS5 don't have this problem as it loads the apps in pages. I have hidden about 60% of my apps and I can now view purchased apps on both iPhone & iPad.

Hope this helps

I Forgot to add that Apple know about this issue as they are labelling users as 'extensive purchased history'

after going through my purchased apps to hide the ones that I don't need or will ever install again, must admit there was a lot of crap, just wished apple would allow you to delete apps that you will never install again from your purchased history for good.

In my case I'm not able to access my purchased history neither form iPhone (4s) or iPad (3) my account purchase history lists 8744 apps for iphone and 2765 apps for ipad, so I'm not even trying to hide my purchases to pass under 460 apps as I could read in one of the posts.

I'ts unbelievable that Apple could not undo something to get back to what worked in an former version of iOs

It does appear that it is a matter o how many items you have in your purchased list. I went to iTunes, Library, Apps and then listed all my apps. I "deleted" them from my active list of apps and now I am able to see my purchased items.

A workaround for the time being as a family unit with multiple iPads and iPhones may have differing needs.
