Ok, i just updated to iOS6 today. I jump in my car to drive home, and now my radio ( pioneer svh-p3400BH) no longer shows any sont info when bluetooth streaming. I used to get artist, album, and song info. Also, when i connect it via USB, i no longer get genra infr ( pop/rock, classical, ect).
Any ideas? if this a firmware on Pioneers side, or is the blue tooth messed up in iOS6?

We would like to inform you of the availability of an optional Bluetooth® firmware update (HW05-SW01.27.20) that enables Bluetooth AVRCP control and metadata display from a compatible Pioneer CD or DVD Receiver when used with an iPhone® 5 or iOS 6 device. If you do not own an iPhone 5 or iOS 6 device, there is no need to install this update.

How to Obtain the Free Firmware Update
1. Download the INSTRUCTIONS for the optional Bluetooth firmware update (HW05_SW01.27.20).
2. Download the UPDATE FILE to a computer and transfer the file to a compatible 2012 Pioneer CD or DVD Receiver via a Bluetooth-enabled Windows 7 laptop.
You can also arrange for Pioneer to update your 2012 Pioneer CD or DVD Receiver by calling Pioneer Customer Service toll free at 800-421-1404 during regular business hours (M-F 10AM-7:30PM Eastern Time, except on holidays). If this firmware update is performed by Pioneer, there is a charge of $60.00 (this charge includes return shipping of the updated unit within the U.S.). Charges for removal/reinstallation of the unit and shipment to Pioneer are the customer’s responsibility.
How to Determine if the Firware Update has Already been Installed
CD Receivers:
• With the unit turned off (press and hold the source button until the CD Receiver turns off), press and hold the center of the volume knob to bring up the Settings menu → rotate the volume knob until "BT Version Info" is displayed and then press the center of the volume knob → The firmware version should show HW05-SW01.27.20.
DVD Receivers:
• With the unit turned off (press the home button and select ‘OFF’ from the source icons), press the home button → Press the “System” icon at the bottom of the screen → Select the “Bluetooth Version Info” option → The firmware version should show HW05-SW01.27.20.
If the Bluetooth firmware version shows HW05-SW01.27.20, no further action is necessary.

It's not any number of issues. It's an issue with the iOS. What else changed. Not the head unit firmware. Only the iOS. That's when the issue started. As well the music controls from the lock screen as well as the drag up controls screen are spotty at best.
Didn't pay anything, just the cost of the craziness of being alone with my just my thoughts in my car while it was away being fixed. I took it back to the dealer where I bought it here in Western Canada and they sent it to the authorized repair centre just outside Toronto. It took awhile, but that was mostly because I think the dealer mistakenly sent it to the wrong place first. Once that got settled, it was quick. The installer at the dealer took it out for me, and put it back in once it got back too. I bought him some beer for his trouble.
I ended up talking to the guy at the repair centre to let him know it was coming and he knew right away what I had done - apparently they had had a few come back like that. After a short lecture he said that 'all' they would do is re-flash it and if that didn't work they'd swap out a new one (i.e. basically completely fix my mistake), but that this was the only time that they'd do it for me. Since I don't plan to do this again, that won't be an issue. They were really good about it.
As noted by someone else, no problem at all after the iOS7 upgrade either. Good luck!
I'm having this issue too. Only just bought my Alpine CDE133BT. Not impressed at all! No Avrcp including meta tag info. All gone. Worked perfectly before. I hope I have not wasted my money. :-(
Same goes for our Pioneer AVH-2400 BT. You cannot skip to the next title and do not receive information any more after the update to IOS6.
I have a Lg sound bar with Bluetooth input and two iPads, one updated and one still on 5.1.1. The sound continually breaks up using the iPad on ios6. Come on Apple sort it out!

VW golf with RSN315. Since i installed ios6 on my iphone 4, i lost Bluetooth feature on my car.
Go on Apple, we need a fix quickly
...Seriously though; maybe APPLE can provide a LIST of manufacturers that iOS 6 with AVRCP v1.4 Bluetooth does work with?

Lorenzo, it sounds like you have a bad device. I can use Bluetooth and wifi together just fine. You should bring the phone into Apple. My problem continues to be the Bluetooth car control features.

Coasterby, I don't believe that for a second. ios6 beta had the same issue, an there are countless people talking about it WELL before the release to the public.
And I'm talking about July....
Looks like 6.0.1 is now available. I'm going to run it and let you guys know what happens!
Very interesting. It didn't work for me after the update but I did not delete and repair my phone. I'll try this later and repost my results.
Same here. My Pioneer AVH-P2400BT is there. This doesn't explain why non-listed products (headphones, hands-free devices) are screwing up though.
The strange part is that the bluetooth for the phone works but not this. Any ideas on what to do? I will try repairing the iPhone to see.
I would not risk bricking your unit. Wait for the US update for your exact model.
