bluetooth music issues after iOS6 update

Ok, i just updated to iOS6 today. I jump in my car to drive home, and now my radio ( pioneer svh-p3400BH) no longer shows any sont info when bluetooth streaming. I used to get artist, album, and song info. Also, when i connect it via USB, i no longer get genra infr ( pop/rock, classical, ect).

Any ideas? if this a firmware on Pioneers side, or is the blue tooth messed up in iOS6?

So, You have many manufactures that have created their products to support the iphone/ipod/ipad on the platform of IOS5. Apple States that all manufactures need to update thier products. (THEY WONT MOST LIKELY). Apples IOS 5 was working just fine with the many products. If there was any faulty programming, it was on Apples part from the start, because all of these products were made to work with Apple...

No Matter how you look at it, if there was a change to support future products or if they are correcting a faulty programming, apple needs to keep the old platform supported or don't allow a new IOS to be installed on legacy equipment.

100% Apples fault.. I'm quite sure that all manufactures didn't flood us with updates to work with IOS6. The only thing that changed is Apple IOS... Out of all of the problems that have popped up, it's only logical...

Gee... Let me see.... If we deem our product unusable... It would force people to uprade their equipment and we can sell more of our new product... The Bottom Line $$$ is improved What a concept..

What a way to loose customers.

Apple, YOU.... Changed your IOS... I hope you Fix this and stop passing the buck.......

if apple think this is not an apple problem but a manufacture problem, they can allow user to downgrade their iproduct to 5.1.1

I don't think manufactures will upgrade their old product because apple decide to change the bluetooth protocole

Sad to say be me using Microsoft as a reference, but at least Microsoft will allow us to re-install Windows 7 if we dont like Windows 8.

Those stating that Apple released an updated bluetooth interface to other companies before the iOS6 release, all I can say is LOL!

I have had every apple phone, purchased on the release date. I've defended apple over the years, however, this is the straw that broke the camels back for me.

The fact that ALL OTHER PHONES MADE happen to be BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE, yet the new iphone's software is not is a complete joke.

I'm waiting for apple to respond to this. I have too much expensive equipment that simply will not perform properly off iOS6, and I have two options. Replace roughly $4300 in equipment, or return my iphone. Pretty easy decision to me.

"of course the USB interface with the i-phone still works fine, I would use that till the solution arrives..."

Not if you have the iPhone 5! Can't really plug the 19 pin adapter into the lightning jack...

**** poor engineering if you ask me. I wouldn't be surprised if Apple doesn't do a free adapter program like they did with the bumpers on the iPhone 4 if enough people complain/class action lawsuit.

I'm also having control issues. Since upgrading to iOS6 I can no longer next/previous using the controls on my Pioneer DEH-9400BH

This is now a driver safety issue that boils down to this: an action I could previously execute without taking my eyes off the road can no longer be performed without taking my eyes off the road.

It would be best for the Apple legal department to take proactive action of their own prior to loss of life and/or limb on the highway.

In both, my 2012 Subaru WRX and 2012 Subaru Impreza, the bluetooth connects and works fine, it just no longer automatically connects like it did with the 5.1.1, my 4S with iOS6 and my 5 have the same issues. Do you guys think this would be part of this issue? It is really annoying having to go into the bluetooth settings and connect it every time I get in the car, but I guess I am lucky it does work, and show the artist and everything atleast.

just so we can add to this number, and hopefully get a response from Apple...

I have a 12 plate 320D, with professional media cetre, which would fine with Ipphone 4s on ios 5. Upgraded the phone to ios 6, and now i can't even sync the two devices. the BMW device shows, but when i click to connect, it times out completely.

Apple, you are very quick to change things, and then market it as the next best thing, or should i say... the best we've ever done... well to be honest, this isnt' that great is it?

Shocking.

Honestly, it doesn't matter to me.

I'm still using blue tooth devices that are five years old. Instead of past or current production models making sure they meet criteria for future releases, the supplier of the phone should insure that is backwards compatible with existing devices.

All other phone manufacturing companies somehow make their phones backwards compatible. Why doesn't apple?

Why should Five major stereo companies be forced to issue updates to their users because Apple fails to properly equip their phones...

Sorry, but I won't give in, if this isn't fixed by the 29th day of my iphone 5 ownership, I will simply return it and I'll go get an android. Something I've held out from doing since my original iphone.
