Speakers too low - Settings 1 to 5?

Anyone experiencing speaker volumes inaudible at
levels 1 through 5?

Low volumes work great with headphones, but you can't
hear anything through the actual speakers at those
levels.

Anyone else with this?

sounds like a hardware problem, but i dont know taht much.

Me too, homer. Makes me wonder why they didn't just start the scale at 4 or 5. I'm quite happy with the quality, though. The amp/speaker combo sure beat the match in my old G3 ibook. They must have bumped it from 1/2 a watt.

10.4.6 has not changed it at all. I am not totally convinced it is hardware yet though. Maybe I do not want to be but I am positive it was not like this when I received it.

it's not too low if you have ear plug in.

I noticed this too. The volume level gets way too quiet way to fast. The first 5 or so bars of volume are practically pointless.
