photostream not working on pc windows 7

uninstall/reinstall works, but its a pain in the rear end and it messes up outlook contacts, task and calenders.😕

This is the second time Apple has broken this with an update which is pretty amaturish...😠

BTW downloading the installer and running a repair DOES NOT WORK.

So much for icloud, photostream, all of it... just another convoluted, poorly implemented exercise by Apple.

After an hour or so screwing around with it, deleted it all.

Go to icloud.com

Click on your name.

Click on advance

Click on reset photostream.

It worked for me.

I unchecked the photostream box/apply/ then rechecked/apply and it started working. Go figure!

Well I too have had this problem, and have tried all the solutions mentioned.

Just tried the latest one (uninstall, then re-install using Apple Updater) and not only has it not worked, but now the photostream checkbox is GREYED OUT!

Apple, you are fast becoming a JOKE. I'm due for an upgrade in November, and although I love apple products, I'm afraid I'm sick and tired of the bugs which are constantly preventing me from getting the most out of the products you are happy to take chunks of money off me for. I'm highly likely to go Android now because I'm UTTERLY SICK OF YOUR INCOMPETENCE.

Don't use Apple Updater. Uninstall icloud, restart pc and reinstall icloud.

This worked for me, although it crashed on time during the check/uncheck step. I am running x64 Windows.

Still not working. The photostream box is greyed out.

uninstalling and reinstalling HHhhmmmm!!! im gonna try it right now as i am very frustrated and been messing around for 3 hours now, was to stubborn to look it up and see if there was a solution, another reason was somehow 3 hours ago 1 photo synced up from my phone to windows and then it stopped..well here goes ill follow up..

Rsetting my photostream from icloud.com worked for me as well.

My follow up is a positive one, i uninstalled~reinstalled and photostream worked imediately, thanks for the help up there, now if only there was a way to get videos to sync with my pc just as easily...Hmmm???

Open your pc library to video on one side of screen and the itunes videos on the other side and just drag and drop from the pc videos to the itune videos. If it wont work your videos are not apple compatible. You can down load a converter and try again.

Thank you for your quick reply and help, i do~do that, that definitely works for me and what also works it when i sync my iphone and my pc and sync photos and videos right in to my windows 7 media center, i was just being silly and wishing that Apple not only made photostream for pictures but should have combined or at the very least made some sort of support for videos on the same concept as photostream..like say videostream perhaps..LOL!! Over 3000 views so far and no solution. Obviously seems to be a problem that Apple will not address since we are of the PC world. Fix this crap guys. Really annoying to have to turn photo stream off, and then back on to get photos to download only to have to do the same thing again the next time we restart our computers.

Ive been trying all suggested ideas all day, ive uninstalled and re-installed twice. Im now giving up. Thanks Apple, youve really helped on this thread......
