Why did they get rid of YouTube?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

YouTube lost their licensing privilage with Apple (atleast from what I heard) but you can always download the YouTube app on the App store. They now have their own app and it's downloadable for FREE!

The new downloadable Youtube app works much better than the old stock version. It will play videos that contain adds, which the only one couldn't due to licensing (and other) issues.

Google owns YouTube. Apple has dissed Google on several levels in the recent past. Apple has been phasing out Google functionality (at least on the native iOS app level) in favor of their own apps.

Plus Youtube is owned by Google which is Apples arch nemesis. Youtube has been gone from iphone for a few years now

I think that the attitude with YouTube is mostly because of this.
