Why iOS 6 crashes on my iPhone 4s? i cant listen music for more than 30 seconds and every app crashes over a few minutes of use.

I already downloadead and install iOS 6, the first couple of ours worked fine, but then, abour 4 hours later the sistem became unestable. Crashes, hangups and a lot of memory consumption became. The sistem processes takes about 70% of processor iddle and about 90% of sistem memory ram, a shame because that lets me no choice for oppening new apps and could explain the constant crashes.

I saw the stats from Battery Doctor. Im worried and i beg for a fast solution you Apple guys.

Hi,

Try to deactivate the FACEBOOK INTEGRATION (go to settings).. After i removed it to my iphone 4 All apps are now doing fine... No more crashing of apps :-) hope it works for you...

The problem is with facebook, go to settings / facebook / your user name and delete your account, the do a hard reset (home+power for some seconds).

dont need to delete the facebook app! just delete your integrate account from settings

I have a iPhone 4S upgraded to ios6 and have experienced similar crash issues with maps, safari, games and many other apps. Checked the crash log and it says "low memory", which is crap as I always close down unused apps and I have 13GB free storage. Sometimes programmes can "hold onto memory" and not release it for use by other programmes. So I thought I would test this by hard re-setting the device (holding down the sleep and home keys).

This worked a treat and fixed my issues straight away.

The problem is, that if I am correct, it will be up to Apple to identify the rogue programme (or maybe it is iOS itself) and get it fixed. It may mean we will need to re set regularly until it is resolved.

Hope this helps someone.

my iphone 4 was working fine until I gave in and

upgraded to ios 6 , now it will not allow me to watch

YouTube for more than about a minute, mostly a few

seconds. Also it won't allow me to use BBC iplayer or

iradio. This is infuriating and I can't fix it! I've tried

everything that has been suggested so far Apple

genius (?) were useless and even had the gall to say

I was getting pretty good use of the phone anyway!

I look forward to deleting facebook,in fact some bugger

should have strangled it at birth.

yrs crossly. AV

There are two solutions:

1. Buy the iPhone 5. This is how Apple would like you to solve this problem. It is why they program the update the way they do... So your "old" phone will not work correctly.

2. Restore to a date prior to installing the update and wait until your plan allows you to switch phones. Then go buy a Samsung Galaxy SIII. This is what I'm going to do.

NEVER insta a firmware update meant for the new phone unless you already have the new phone.

Having upgraded my ipad and itouch to IOS6 when it first came out, I had no issues. Today, all of a sudden, after having no problems I began experiencing similar issues as described - would't switch on/ crashing out/ freezing/restarting etc. Having seen a couple of mentions of Facebook integration, I half-heartedly gave it a go and it seems to have worked.

Go to settings, facebook and deactivate the account. There is no need to delete the facebook app - this will still work as normal (in fact, I am not entirely sure what the integration bit is supposed to do). Anyway, for the timebeing at least, it seems to have worked - testament is that i can type this without it crashing!

Strange that all was fine for ages before it started to have these problems!
