Yep I've been getting this too, it seems to be on particular video podcasts that the error is being generated. I've cleared the offending ones and it seems to have stopped however it an bvious issue that itunes crashes on some podcasts. My offending one was a movie trailer from the Allocine movie trailer site the movie is their latest trailer "Monster House" which until I removed its subsciption kept crashing itunes just as it got to the very end of its download.

Ludichris,

There's been some problems with podcast providers having corrupted files on their servers and if the file is corrupted in the right way, it will cause iTunes to crash when it goes to download the podcast — which unfortunately is automatic when the application opens.

Obviously there's something in iTunes that needs to be fixed, but a quicker solution around the problem would be — once you have the podcasts identified like you do here — to go to the web site of the podcast provider and report the problem. There's always some kind of support or contact link — even webmaster@<domain name> usually goes somewhere. I reported one previously for a movie trailer podcast from a French company called Allocine and once they knew about the corrupted files were able to replace them quickly and the problem was solved.
