iOS 6 problems on iPod touch 4Gen

I have had one major problem with IOS 6 with my ipod 4g, it doesnt work. I downloaded it on my ipod over night and now the setup process keeps freezing the crashing then my ipod restarts?

I have had problem with my iPod 4g. I download ios6 to my PC then up dating it to my iPod during the up dating the iPod freeze on the screen where there a iTunes logo and a USB picture . I did try the recovery mode but it still not starting it stay on black screen. is there any other way to get it back to work?

So far, I have found that searching in the appstore results in a crash of the app.

I can't do much in the way of downloading apps at this moment do to that problem.

I successfully updated my iPod Touch 4G directly from iPod software update over wifi. However, nothing works. Everything crashes and nothing is usable. For example, the music app is a totally white screen then dies. I have a bunch of apps in update progress for 12 hours with 0 progress. It takes the iPod 10 minutes to be ready in iTunes and can not do a back up to try a clean install.

I'm hoping it's just a bad install. I hope others with success will let us know that it can run fine.

Nothing on my itouch 4 is working. Everything freezes or crashes. This update on it is garbage. I have a useless iPod at the moment. Apple needs to do something quick to fix this. I should of never updated it. Although my phone is fine which is weird. Help!!!!

I am having the same problem everyone else is having. Updated to iOS 6 no problem. one app updated, another sits and spins it wheels. music screen is blank white screen. seems very unresponsive.

You may need to do a restore and wait untill the next update comes out.

Hey people's. Yeah, I'm having the exact same problem as all of you as well. My iPod is completely messed up. However, strangely enough my music works...however, app store is garbage. If I search something, it crashes. iMessage isn't working either, and even my weather widget isn't updating. Apple better fix this. If they don't, they will lose a loyal customer whose been biying their products since 2006.

Same thing is happening to me. I've tried everything. No success :(

Have you tried a clean install? If you have and it still doesn't work, I'm not going to waste my time trying that.

I am having the very same problem since upgrading to ios 6.

I'm guessing Apple will be on this error ASAP because app store sales will drop off and that will get their attention.

clean install and in earsing all settings? and then go to restore?

I think I'm going to do a RESTORE and wait until Apple shakes out the bugs before trying to reinstall this PITA again.

Who do they use to actually test these new updates? Just doing a complete resotre at the moment to see if it solves my problems including my album artwork not showing on my Ipod Touch 4g.

C'mon apple, sort ur stuff out, and don't keep us waiting like you did when you had problems with the last major update.

Ther's no problem in the device but it feels kinda slow when you update it on ios 6.But hte major problem is with the software.
