Whatsapp not working well after iOS6.0 upgrade

Hi everybody,

I have upgraded the software of the iPhone (3GS) and now I cannot see the images of my contacts in Whatsapp. Do you know how to solve this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Hi all,

This solution did not help us, everything was already ON. But... We discovered that if you set your own profile photo again (preferably a new one, just to be sure), this seems to fix it. Your profile photo will be visible again for your contacts. But the downside: all your contacts will need to do the same :-(

Open Whatsapp. Go to Settings and scroll down. Tap on "Email Chat History" Choose the first you wanna save and choose with or without media. Tap cancel (upleft corner) and "Save Draft". Go to your email drafts and send it to your self.

I created a link for us to voice our feedback to Whatsapp. I have contacted the company on updating to Whatsapp to iPhone 5 version to for them to improve product support, but have not gotten any responses.

Hopefully they will hear us!

I can only send photos taken directly from camera but not from photo library. When i click the photo ivon in privacy settings, i couldn't see whatsapp being associated with. So my 4s won't let whatsapp access the library. When i click contact in privacy, then YES, i can see whatsapp.

Try this:

Turn privacy>Contacts>Whatsapp OFF.

Kill Whatsapp from Multitasking.

Force restart your iPhone (Hold Power and Home button until Apple logo appears. Ignore "Slide to power off".

Now there are 2 options to continue.

1. Open the Whats app before you go to Privacy settings

2. Go to privacy settings before you open the Whatsapp

Good luck

I followed exactly every step as u suggested. Had tried both options but neither works. I tried further by :

1) deleted whatsapp

2) made sure privacy>contact>"no whatsapp"

3) reset network

4) rebooted iphone

5) reinstall whatsapp

Conclusion: same

Privacy>contact>"whatsapp icon appears"

Privacy>photo>"blank" nothing

Previously using whatsapp in ios 5.1.1 - no problem because no privacy settings.

Good news. Finally i found the solution.

Privacy>photos was inaccessible by whatsapp because it was the access was accidentally restricted. I wasn't aware why the restricted was turn on. So i went to:

1) settings>general>restriction>privcy(photo)>change from "Don't Allow Changes" to "Allow Changes"

2) settings>privacy>photos>whatsapp is now accessible

It's really weird that it was "Don't Allow Changes" being activated as i remember that i never touch anything under "Restriction" section. Thanks for your kindness in helping me.

Dear, That does not reflect to any iOS issue.

I have the same problem (since 14 Hourse ago) on both my iPhone and also on my Laptop (running Android emulation and using brilliant BlueStacks). That is definately a problem within Whatsapp server.

Usually, they are very fast fixing bugs, but today, seems they haven't even realized there is a problem.

Does anyonne have a direct contact to Whatapp support for reporting this ???
