Safari no longer can show streaming video from Linksys webcams?

Since upgrading my iPhone and iPad to iOS6 yesterday, Safari no longer displays the streaming video from my Linksys webcams. I can trick it into displaying a still image by going to the camera's main page then hitting the browser back button to the page that should show the stream. This problem is also reported in the Safari on Mountain Lion community with no apparent fix for that platform. Any ideas?

I have this same exact problem my iPhone 4s as well as my iPad 2nd gen and my iPod Touch 4 gen,,,,... Tried clearing history and cookies and it worked one time on some of my cameras but then almost immediately went back to the problem you just described.

A few of the cameras were streaming well when I first tried accessing them from my iPod touch but after viewing a couple of the cameras none of them worked from then on. At least we know that Safari ios6 has the ability to successfully steam the cameras but something is happenening after you begin accessing the cameras. Its like something in Safari kicks in which prevents the actual streaming. The inter face all around the steaming box is all there and I can easily access the utilities sections of the cameras. Its just a streaming issue I think...

Anyone have any idea what in Safari could be blocking the streaming? Thanks!

Interesting....

The odd thing is that once in a while a camera will stream correctly but its rare and only after messing with history or cookies. Considering you still have the problem with Chrome it would indicate the problem is related to ios6 ability to download the stream that is provided by the cam... Could it be an issue with activx situations? But then why have I been able to stream (very occasionally) ?

After much frustration with the loss of my winter home cameras after upgrading to ios6 , I download an app called netcamviewer from the app store ,( I tried 4 others) it supports the WVC line of Linksys / Cisco cams and works far superior to the standard linksys viewer. The picture quality is awesome and you can view individual or a quad view. Hope this helps folks that have the same situation. Setup is a snap, essentially cutting and pasting your linksys cam url into the app and choosing your camera line from a drop down window, (choose Linksys ;0) ). Happy cam viewing! The basic single cam viewer is free , the unlimited camera app upgrade is $ 3.99 I think. The added quad feature alone would have been worth that to me.

It seems to be an issue with the new Safari browser on IOS6 and ability to handle RTP feeds.
The Chrome I have running is on an old Windows system, so there may be a difference from what you are seeing.

I am able to see live video accessing the /img/video.mjpeg directly.

By the way, Internet Explorer works fine, as does Safari on Windows.

We may need to wait for an update from Apple, or different forums have mentioned a couple of apps that work, so I'm off to hunt one down.....
