iTunes Match is not working on my iPhone 4S after installing iOS 6. I finally see a list of artists, but the songs are all empty and will not play, and no play lists are present.

iTunes Match is not working after the iOS 6 install. All music that was previously downloaded is gone. When the "Music App" is opened, I see a picture of a cloud, and a progress bar that goes nowhere. Then it goes away. No playlists are present. It shows artists, and albums, but all songs are empty. Nothing plays.

Is there a fix for this, or are the Apple Servers simply totally overwhelmed, and this is a matter of being annoyed and patient until it finally connects.

Thanks!

I had the same problem. I updated last night and today, my music was not cooperating. However, probably due to the enormous size of my music library, the songs are finally there.

It just took a long time given the amount of traffic going on with the update. Be patient. Within 24 hours, you should see your music populating out of the cloud.

This has been an on going problem i have encountered since i started using itunes match. I uploaded all my music to itunes match about a month ago and have been running iOS6 in beta since about june. I am also having the same problem where it just shows a cloud and a loading bar that never moves. I thought once iOS6 went live there would be a fix to it but still stuck with the same problem. Hope apple gets to work on this.

Same issue for me.

Some further peculiar things I noticed:

Directly after updating to iOS 6 I had to switch on iTunes Match again (iPhone settings). Then I realized that my music was gone (as described above).

Under settings -> usage one could see that the memory space was still occupied by the huge music library (i.e. there where only 9 of 64 GB free). This changed after several hours. Now there are only 9 GB used, the rest is free. So the library is really gone.

Since then my iPhone continuously downloads some unknown data from the internet (even if all apps are closed and I deselect the use of mobile networks at the several menus in the settings). All apps are closed. The iPhone gets hot and downloads something. It downloaded nearly 400 MB in the last 48 hours via mobile networks. (I got a flatrate, so I don't really care about the data.)

Does anyone know what this means? Thanks for any help!

I think the guys who said its just taking it forever with larger libraries might be on to something. My phone has been continuously downloading data since I turned iTunes Match on, to the point where I'm hitting 50% battery power after a few hours, despite the fact that I've hardly used the phone. Also, I've got several app updates to install that I'm having issues with. If I try to just update all then it errors out. I've been able to set a few up to update on an individual basis, but now the apps are just "waiting" to download and then install, which, at least to me, backs up the idea of data (possibly the itunes match data?)still downloading in the background. Out of curiosity, has anyone that's still having this problem tried syncing with their computer to see what happens? I admittedly have been so ticked at this that seeing what that does has slipped my mind, and I've got a while before I'll be able to give it a shot.

Thank you, I was having the same problem and this worked for me as well:

"Found a solution on another thread.. It actually worked!

1. Download and install iExplorer http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/

2. Plug in iPhone first, then open iExplorer

3. Delete the iPhone\Media\iTunes_Control folder (you can copy it to your laptop, just in case)

4. Reboot the iPhone

5. Turn on iTunes Match in settings.

6. Start Music app"

It worked!!!!!!!!
