Anyone still having IOS 6 wifi issues?

I'm currently waiting on Apple support to call me back about this issue, but I thought I would reach out here to see if anyone else is having similar issues.

I upgraded to IOS 6 yesterday afternoon, and immediately after I could no longer connect to the Wifi at my place of employment. Everyone had this issue, no big deal.

Went home, Wifi worked fine.

Came into work this morning and I am still unable to connect. I have tried all of the various recommended fixes, and even gone so far as to do a complete restore. I work at a university with multiple networks and access points and have tried connecting to several, both secure and unsecure, with no luck.

This is what happens:

Unsecure Networks: Attempt to connect, wheel spins, Error Message: "Unable to Connect"

Secure Network: Attempt to connect, prompted for password, enter password, Error Message: "Incorrect Password" (Yes I entered the correct password, I tried multiple times, and the IT tech was able to connect to it with his iPad 2 running IOS 5)

I am also not the only one, everyone on campus who has upgraded their iPad 3 to IOS 6 is unable to connect. (All staff/factulty have iPads, most have upgraded)

I have spoken with the IT department and they are baffled, they have tried rebooting various routers and access points to no avail.

Obviously there is something different happening in IOS 6 that is causing these issues. My question is has anyone else encoutered this issue, and if so what have you done to fix it?

I have seen people above who have upgraded firmware on their personal wireless routers with success, but for a university with literally hundress of access points and routers this is out of the question, at least in the short term.

Same issue here. Source Library test success . HTML is not available. I have a service provider who as an added security measure has a web page where you have to login after connecting to wifi (like in hotels). Then it does some self test and opens an Error 404 page with the above message and disconnects the wifi before I can open the login web page.

I'm reading in a lot of places that its been solved, if so, is it region wise? Cos it's the same in India.

I wish I had looked here first, my iPad won't let me upgrsde, after trying for two hours I gave up for the night! Now after reading these I think I got off quite well when my iPad was "unable to complete download" think I'll stay with iOS 5 for a few weeks then check back. I should have learned a lesson when I upgraded from Lion to Moutain Lion, my MacBook Pro was totally devistated untill hours and days (about a week) to reinstal EVERYTHING and start from scratch! I am so glad I invested in Apple's support package but even that had no compensation for the time spent, although I have learned to check here first in the future........

We are in a hotel, my iPad 2 on IOS 6 is not working correctly on Wi-Fi. On son's iPad and wife's iPhone, both on IOS 5.1, there are no issues.

When the IOS 6 device first connected to the hotel Wi-Fi the hotel's ToS page did not pop up until I try to browse. On the IOS 5 devices it popped up immediately on connecting. This would not be a problem expect every time the IOS 6 device is turned off or goes to sleep the connection does not work without either renewing the lease, toggling airplane mode or forgetting the connection. This gets really old fast.

Obviously an IOS 6 bug. Apple please fix.

Also no decent YouTube app really *****.

Updated IOS6 last night. After rebooting IOS6 new sotware I am unable to join the network it used to download the update. 😟

I tried resetting the network settings and that doesn't work. I am using the Wi-Fi and my computer right now so I know there is nothing wrong with the connection.

Sounds like the problem is with the software and there are many of us suffering!

How will I get it fixed if I can't connect to the internet?

I am new at this so bear with me.

Please help! Thanks!

Exactly the same problem with me. I have a Mikrotik router and as soon as I upgraded my iPhone 4S and iPad2 to iOS6, I lost connectivity over wifi. It worked fine with other access points so it's something peculiar about certain setups. Interestingly, pings actually work but it's DNS that's failing.

However, I have now sorted it. I don't really understand all the options but the Mikrotik is ultra configurable so I tried a few things based on what people have said on this thread. I was originally set to WPA2 with both Unicast Ciphers & Group Ciphers set to tkip only. If I change that to allow both tkip AND aes ccm then both devices work again. Changing back breaks it again. This appears to be the exact opposite of some previous solutions which is weird.

Worth mentioning (not sure if it's necessary) that I also rebooted the router following the change, as well as turning wifi off / reset network settings / turning wifi back on for both iPhone and iPad.

Hopefully this might help some folks out there. It's been driving me insane over the last couple of days and the waters have been really muddied by the original dead website problem (which got fixed after a few hours) meaning that it's been difficult to find people still suffering the problem.
