What has helped me and I have the recurring web bookmarks issue--is to

Full back up and restore in iTunes on my iMac. realize this should just recreate the problem but it seems to have helped.

Turn off all but essential location services and notifications

Quit and not use Safari and not sync bookmarks thru iCloud

Turn off 3G!! Since I'm not using Safari, I really don't miss it. Still make calls, get emails and texts.

I upgraded my iPad 3 to iOS 6 and it was working fine so I blithely did the same with my iPhone 4. What a huge mistake. I'll be using Motion X in a couple of weeks so will have to turn 3G on again but the phone will be charging. Hope it doesn't overheat!

I tried the backup and restore through iTunes also and had a hard time getting my music back! Now the battery doesn't drain unless I'm actually using the phone and still drops faster than before update. I felt lucky that it made it all the way through my work day yesterday! But I do have a new issue now that I haven't heard anyone else mention- the phone periodically freezes up which it never did before!

Apple- it's shameful that you are putting your loyal customers through this ordeal and leaving us to fend for ourselves! You are going to lose a lot of us to your competitors!

Same problem Here. I restored my iPhone and then went to a full-night charge, the battery seemed to be better when i turned the phone on after i woke up but i think the battery was just overcharged (110% or so) because suddently during the day it started to drain fast again.

I was very happy with battery duration in 5.1/5.1.1 (i got on average 3 days of normal usage turning off the iPhone during the night), after upgrading to ios6 sometimes i have a full 100% when i leave home in the morning and a couple of times i found it dead before coming back home at evening, having made a couple of calls, sent 3/4 emails and listened to half an hour of music.

I really hope Apple would release a fix very quickly because right now i'm scared to use my iphone when i'm far away from a usb port or a power outlet because i fear it can suddently shut down and make me unreachable to important calls.
