This is terrible.

I just updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 6 two days ago. What a Mistake! The battery is down to 25% after having it off the charger from 6:30AM to 6:30PM. I've barely used the phone today. I used to be able to play games, and talk on the phone for 2-3 hours and still have more battery life.

APPLE .. PLEASE Fix this issue !!!😠

My iPhone and new Ipad same issues as most here. Very poor battery life. With the amount of people screaming about the poor battery life on both Ipad and IPhone you would have thought apple would fix the issue, BUT NO!

Got your money so there!

Guess once APPLE have your money they have achieved there goals. As for customer service, not on the list of things to do at APPLE. Clearly evident with the time no comment approach to battery drain issues. Nice to know THE BAD APPLE will suffer in the future with sales and market share. That's what they need; to realise customers come first. We won't be ignored!

APPLE = Pathetic customers service and a care factor of 0

I also ran into the same prolbem for a week and desparately trying to find a solutation. I have tried to turn off everything including wifi. Nothing worked. I called Apple support today and was told to restore to factory default using iTune and it fixed the problem!! 🙂🙂

So I think there must be a software bug while upgrading from ios5 to ios6. Doing a fresh installation clears up the problem.

As far as I'm concerned, there is NO permanent fix to the issues with webbookmarksd.

In the last 6 1/2 months I have fixed this issue 3 times, using the method of setting the phone up as new, always deleting my possibly corrupt bookmarks on my MacBook, only to have the fix last approximately 1 month before I had to fix again.

Now, since April, I've set up my phone twice completely as new, not restoring anything from a "cleaned" backup, and turn off iCloud syncing of Safari on my iPhone and my MacBook. Webbookmarksd begins running amuck within a week each time, and of course additionally launching itself anytime I launch Safari on the iPhone even though I syncing of Safari data has been turned off since resetting phone as new.

If I desire no iCloud syncing of Safari data and have set things so, then webbookmarksd shouldn't continue running amuck, unless of course the more obvious being that there several other integrated processes making calls to webbookmarksd that have nothing to do with the syncing of bookmarks.

I tried about everything you suggested. My phone is now holding a charge but that still doesn't explain why it happened in the first place. I took mine to the apple store for them to redo everything and put everything back. That didn't help. Not until I started turning things off did it help. To date I am not sure which app I turned off that helped but I am scared to put everything back the way it was. This is ridiculous!
