Is anyone else experiencing battery drain since iOS 6 update?
iPhone 4, iOS 6
yep im having the same issue since i update ios6 before that my battery was working very long..iphone 4 ios6
So Far at 99% with weather browsing, facebook updates and checking for mail...no need to turn anything off...locations are on for apps..traffic is on...the reset of all settings and resync with Itunes appears to be working for me...
I Am not noticing anyy big Issues with my battery but i am noticing it is draining a bit faster
I would still prefer IOS 5 it was a good operating system with no big problems and it had mainly everything you needed
i thought upgrades ment better but instead in my opinion they went backwards i mean first of all why take away YouTube and make the battery go away faster
My opinion IOS 5 is Better what do you guys think?
I turned of Iads, Genius, Traffic, Passbook, and facebook intergration. Phone is at 25% at 9:40PM tonight instead of 10% at 6 oclock. Somehwat improved.
i have the same problem. please respond when you get an answer.
I am experiencing the same problem on my iPod Touch 4G with iOS6. I think downgrading to iOS5.1.1 using IPSW file (http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=757). And upgrade to iOS6 when Apple solve all problems.
Significant reduction in battery after upgrading to iOS 6 on iPhone 4. Something is just draining battery and with the lousy maps, I think iOS 6 was an upgrade I wish I never made.
Is there any way to downgrade to iOS 5.1.1?
Did all that you had in your post. Positive should resolve the problem. Cheers.
But my ipad 2 is running fine! I updated them at the same exact time.
I'm having the same problem with my 4s ...I really hope that they send out a fix for this soon.
i could believe it today. . . woke up at 3:23pm used my phone like 2 calls and some txt messages and batterys dead at 8:30 pm ?????? WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY PHONE?!!?!? i used to get a solid day of heavy usage NP i have a iphone 4 Apple needs to FIX THIS!
I turned off location services for the reminder app and the LS arrow dropped off the status bar and all is now well.
Sorry if this is already in the thread. Haven't had time to read it all.
D
Ok, so, basically, use your iPhone as if it was a Nokia 5190, only make calls and occasionally text. Remember the days before unlimited text or data? Go back to then!
I notced that my battery goes down faster than before , i think it's the Twitter app not ready to be on IOS6 when i used another twitter app the battery is just fine. checked that too many times with my friends. good luck.
My wife and I each have an iPhone 4 and we have an iPad 3 ... after upgrading all three devices to iOS 6 from iOS 5.1.1, the battery on all three devices is terrible. None of the devices last more than 8 hours after a full charge with normal use. The iPhones lasted a couple of days before the upgrade, and the iPad would last days. When using the iPad, you can actually see the battery % go down every few minutes. I remember I had the same problem with iOS5 when I upgrade to that last year, and 5.0.1 fixed it. Why does every revision of iOS have to have battery problems?
Same issue here 😟 After updating iPhone 4 to iOS6, fully charged battery lasts about 10-12 hours. Previously used to last about 24. This is a pretty serious degradation as far as I am concerned and hope that Apple resolves this witha fix pronto.
