since I updated my Retina Macbook to OSX 10.8.2 + EFI upgrade, I have huge performance issues when I want to play Diablo 3 or other games. The framerate is totaly low. I seams that my MBPR doesn't offer the performance it has before I updated it. Anyone has the same problem?
MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
As you can see, the CPU is not working when I startup Diablo or other games! I dont think its an OSX issue because the framerate is also low at Bootcamp/Win7 when I start my games, too. I think the EFI upgrade did something wrong!

i ve got the same Problem, but i found a solution.
U need to reset the SMC.

Shutdown ur macbook, plug the power in ur macbook and press:
Left shift + CTRL + ALT (Option key) + PowerON Button
then release all at the same time. (u can see ur powerconnector changing color when doing it right)
After that start ur mac and enjoy playing diablo 3 like me 😀

SMC Reset fixed my performance issues after this SMC update. Woo!
The question is what caused the problem? I've seen the same problem on my MBPR. I fixed it by resetting the SMC. However, something happens at some point and the slow frame rates return. The fix is the reset the SMC again. I've done this about 5 or 6 times since applying the 10.8.2 and EFI updates.
Notice how the fans in your MBPR run really loudly while playing Diablo 3? When you get the slow frame rates again (and it will happen) the fans run really quiet. It's almost as if the GPU is being throttled. Resetting the SMC allows the GPU to run at full speed (and heat) again.
This only works until the mac goes to sleep or starts screen saver. After that the problem is back and you have to shutdown and reset the SMC all over again. There are a lot of reports from Diablo 3 but I also see complaints from other game forums.
I am also experiencing issues with my 15" Macbook Pro w/ Retina Display. I had to preform a SMC reset to fix the framerate in Diablo 3.
