That's great your are able to pair your phone. That's not really an issue for most people.

Power off your iPhone now (hold top right button, "Slide to Power Off). Now restart your iPhone, and try to reconnect to your car's stereo using the existing devices previous connection...

Let us know what happens.

Yeah "Hail the iPhone" lets have the world change bluetooth because apple is changing the technology (how ridiculous can you be!). The reason it works is because its compatible with their programing, it's not the fact that new stuff won't work (because all new bluetooth will) it's the fact that they don't make it compatible with anything that's older AND the brand new bluetooth equipment. Apple themselves told me there programming does not connect perfectly with old equipment which in my case is a 6 month old beats by dre headset. But they were very clear they would not give an update or allow me to switch back to previous software. So Mr "hail the iPhone", you keep buying new **** because that's what they want and what they base their company on. Hope you can sell that car when your iPhone gets another update!

Add me to the list of users with problems with BT on iOS 6. I have a 2006 Acura TL and my wife has a 2011 Honda Pilot, both with BT. Her iPhone 3GS with iOS 5.x and my iPhone 4 with iOS5.x and 6.0 worked fine in both vehicles. I upgraded to the iPhone 5 last week and iOS 6.0.1. I had difficulty pairing to my car but finally got it to work. I could not pair to her SUV. With my car, when I recieved and incoming call and answered it through the car's BT if would make the beep-boop sound that I would normally hear when disconnecting, but the call would them come through the car's speakers. This weekend I upgraded to iOS 6.0.2 and now I cannot make an outgoing call through the BT. The car makes the connection and passes the dial info to the phone, but the audio stays on the phone, it does not get passed back to the car's speakers. Incoming calls still work, albeit with the same beep-boop disconnect tone sounding just before the audio comes through. There was defiantely something different with BT on the iPhone5, and iOS 6.0.2 is just making it worse.

I have had the iPhone 5 a month now. Totally disappointed. Battery life crap plus I have Partot ds speaker system

That used to play my music flawlessly.

Now it plays fine until I get any interference such as a Fb message , txt or mail. Then it just stutters and won't play u til I reset and pair again. This is pathetic.

I have to say it now does it on my old 3GS that used to work. So must be iOS issue???

Also streaming bluetooth in my fiesta is now really low on volume. And calls are stuttery. Apple u NEED TO FIX THIS. it wasn't broken before. Your going backwards instead if forwards here. Please sort it ASAP!!!

Good to see this thread exists. Have several Sennheiser Bluetooth headsets -some only a couple months old. All worked on my 3rd gen ipad on iOS5, and none worked after the upgrade to iOS6.

Spent about an hour resetting ipad, turning ipad on and off, turning BT on and off and trying to pair with ipad in every conceivable order with no success. The ipad sees the device and properly identifies it, but just spins when trying to complete the pairing process. Headsets all still work with my iphone 4S that is still running 5.1 iOS.

I'll do my share by registering my complaint with Apple. Hope 6.1 is close. I don't like being tethered to my ipad w/wires.

I've got until June to wait for another discounted phone upgrade from my carrier. Unless my 4S resumes its prior iOS communications functionality with my Kenwood DNX9990HD and 2013 Camaro MyLink, that's about how long Apple will have me as an iPhone user.

Apple can't expect to keep customers if their latest implementations of WiFi and Bluetooth don't have full reverse compatibility with the iPhone-compatible devices recently sold by licensed mainstream vendors. That connectivity was a big reason many of us were willing to pay a premium for the phone to begin with. Questionable functionality = no rationale for premium pricing. Don't believe it? Go look at the iPhone user ratings on the large cellphone carriers' websites . . . the brand S camp is much happier than the Apple camp.

Most of us simply can't afford to replace all of our 'iPhone-compatible' devices, and many vendors won't bother with legacy updates - they have no way of knowing whether or not Apple will again break the compatibility with another enlightened iOS update.

Apple, make this right. Prove to us that you really are different. Somewhere, Steve is watching . . .

I was totally disenchanted myself yesterday as my iPhone 5 (iOS 6.0.2) refused to pair with a Jambox it had been paired with many times before. I found all the threads talking about these problems, and tried everything. Reset network settings, restarted with BT off, deleted all paired devices (including my Mazda 3). I must have restarted the phone about a dozen times trying this and that.

Now my phone wouldn't pair with ANYTHING - JamBox, car, laptop - all gone. Not only that, but iMessage refused to re-activate. My iPhone was inches away from becoming a missile out of the window.

Then, with zero confidence and thinking it was a total waste of time, I restored the phone (1 hour to download the 1GB iOS image, plus god knows how long reinstalling all the apps, etc) all the time getting progressively more disappointed as I was thinking this would result in nothing...

TADA! Fixed. All working. Still annoyed that I had wasted so much time.

So, try the restore even if you think it won't work. You can always stamp on the phone if it doesn't.

I went for a restore on my iPhone 4 and its totally frozen, spent 2 hours to Apple technical and it turns out there's a clitch in the software ios6 that can cause your phone to Lock up Apple have agreed to replace it, there's nothin that can be done to fix the problem other than send it back to apple

After so many months, still there is no update to fix the bluetooth audio? What are the apple guys doing? They release an incomplete software update which gives problematic map, problematic bluetooth... How are we going to continue to support you?

Eventhough IOS 5 does not have great feature, but it's much complete than current IOS.

Before upgrade, I can have bluetooth audio that shows the music that I'm playing, FF, RW, Stop, etc, using my AVH-P8450BT. But now, I can only playback audio, but the control has to come directly from phone. If u wanna skip track, u have to click on the iphone. Shall any accident happen during this time, we need to blame IOS for this lousy upgrade.

My player has no issue at all. Even my Sony Ericsson C905 able to do this much better. A new message can be popup on my player screen, but when I receive a new message on my IOS, nothings happened.

Please learn from others, see what people wants. Steve Job doesn't create a foundation for you to break.

Still testing to see if the update did indeed fix it... kind of odd to have it fix something bluetooth related and fail to mention it in the patch notes...

Version 6.0.2 for iphone 5 to correct only the WiFi connection which now works fine with me. against by any correction for the Bluetooth does not work with the hands-free car and other devices.

Add me to the list of people with problems. I own a 2012 Kia Sorento and since upgrading my iPhone4 to IOS 6 I can no longer have phone conversations over bluetooth.. I can answer the calls and hear the other side fine, but they cannot hear me through the car's microphone.

It worked perfectly fine with iOS5, and the microphone continues to work with other features in the car, so I know it is a bluetooth problem. Tried resetting the bluetooth connection, tried reverting to factory default, tried rebooting. Nothing works.

I'm having the same problem in my 2010 Lexus RX 450h. The Bluetooth connection works fine with the phone but not with bluetooth audio. Tried multiple different ways to get the connection to work, but keep getting an error message that says it can't connect to the device. Really strange since it is connected for normal phone use. Hope this is fixed soon since I used to enjoy listening to Pandora.

I was using 3gs when i bought jabra bt2046. Pairing no problem. 2 days ago i got a iphone 4 with ios 6.0.1 and the phone bluetooth cannot detect.

My boyfriend is having the bluetooth problem after upgrade to ios 6 on his 4S which is why I haven't upgraded and won't buy an iphone 5 until this issue is resolved. I NEED my bluetooth. I called apple support where I was informed that this is not a heavily reported problem ⚠ Judging by these posts, I think it probably is. It was suggested I go to http://apple.com/feedback/iphone and report this problem. apparently they aren't scanning the forums as they should at Apple and need to be prodded. They'll fix it if enough people complain. Complain to the right source, folks.
