battery life on ios6

I'm pretty confident the issue is now resolved on both my 3GS and 4S. I've done nothing more than keeping on top of all the updates coming through for my existing apps and also switching off all location services except for Siri, Weather and Maps (still watching this closely though).

I'll switch loaction services back on as and when I use an app and it requests it. Then I should hopefully identify any app if the problem happens again.

Did a couple of restarts and the battery drained to zero a couple of times, but nothing other than that. I just kept checking the app store for updates for apps.

So far, seen a big change compared to yesterday when I could almost watch the battery draining.

Well, in my opinion the battery life with iOS 6 on iPhone 4S is now much better!

1 % left and I have 8 hrs and 17 minutes usage and 1 day 7 hrs standby time. (I browsed the web, sent some E-Mails with pictures & received some text E-Mails, made some calls, used iMessage, Siri, Facebook, iCal, Contacts and other apps like Dropbox. Also I have 2 E-Mail accounts on "Push" and iCloud activated with all its features, except iCloud Mail and iTunes Match!)

With iOS 5.1.1 I hardly reached 6 hrs usage time.

i think you see fake value charge..the problem is ios6 show wrong value in most times.check your charge value with some software....

With a random battery app I see the same stats. 8hrs WiFi usage.

do u believe that yourself? with 10min wifi you must lost atleast 2%...

I'm only telling you what I can see at a random battery life app.

Hm ok. So you mean the usage time which iOS 6 is showing me is not correct? o.O

i think... because i didint use my iphone now for half time and that decreased 2% ..

first i upgraded that....for 1hour the charge value was 100%..

my ipad is same...

i have now fixed my problem by doing a complete reset and setting phone up as a new iphone making sure contacts and anything else i wanted saved to icloud.. my battery life seems to be back to normal. 🙂

i did full reset, the wrong charge value was solved but the phone decrease the value faster than 5.1.1

how we can back to ios5.1.1?

i downloaded the file but after extracting file in itunes,it show me an error..

Whilst I've been reading these threads my iPad 3 has gone down 10%. When it's fully charged once unplugged it drops to 97% immediately definitely something going on with the upgrade. I've just tried turning off Siri which is an obvious new drain on the battery but can't help thinking that new CEO at Apple is making some dangerous moves.. I wouldn't be surprised if the battery drain was because apple have access to our front facing camera and info is being sent back to apple from our devices. I am really annoyed at the maps down grade but the battery life is putting the cherry on top..

And since the ios 6 download I'm having issues with my Apple TV and airport set up... Might go to pc world and have a look at one of those Samsung tablets..

same here, the battery drain even though I dont make a call, or access the interent.

One word.......Android. I think I've had enough Applesauce for a lifetime.
