Upgraded to iOS6.1 still can't update Apps on my iPhone 4 cause the App Store keeps crashing.

Developer Apps get rejected by the Apple iTunes review board if an App crashes during review.

Guess they don't review their own Apps.

Funny that iOS kills their own App Store, from the iPhone console log :

---

com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.itunesstored[1249]) <Notice>: (com.apple.itunesstored) Idle-exit job was jettisoned. Will bypass throttle interval for next on-demand launch.

Fix it guys, already bought a Samsung so I'm close to the edge.

After the last big Apple event last October,my Ipod touch 4 stopped crashing the App store and has been working fine ever since. The only thing I did do was turn off Genius and once every couple of days turn off the Ipod completely and and turn it on. It resets a lot of the memory and apps. But it has been working great ever since and I also just upgraded to 6.1,and still no problems.

This fix is very easy and tested. Get on iTunes with your computer. Navigate to your downloaded apps history in the app store (iTunes store - purchased - apps) Now hide all of the silly purchases you've made. Done. Enjoy. I personally have accumulated 900 app downloads from the beginning of my time. The problem is AppStore trying to load all of them is too memory consuming, hence the crash. After hiding 850+ purchases App Store purchase history and genius now load quickly and no crash.

It's a matter of opinion. All I'm doing is stating the easy correct fix to the crash everyone is complaint about. After hiding the nonsense app in iTunes if you still have crashing problems look for more solutions. Mine crashed on search after trying to open genius. After I have hidden my apps there have been 0 crashes and it runs perfectly smooth. Try it ;)

I dont know if one crash is related to the other but this is what happened to me:

I have an iPhone 4S - STC server Saudi Arabia

First the app store starting crashing by not loading at all I did some recommendations posted here and it was working (temporarily only)

This started to happen two weeks ago.

Then just two days ago my battery started to drain like there is no tomorrow, even with the phone suit that re-charges was draining like 1% per minute. After trying several and thousand options posted here the one that helped me solve this bug was to delete all my email accounts (EXCEPT the iCloud account) and creating them again. The battery now is working just fine, I hope it remains this way.

But now the problem of the app store not loading is back again!! SO FRUSTRATINGGGGGG
I have tried the old steps again - Nothing!!

network restore - Noting!!
reset the phone - NOTHING!

I am sick of being the nurse of my phone, does anyone have a new solution for the appstore loading
Is it really the best option to downgrade again to the previous update! after so many bugs ***? if so HOW!?

APPLE PLEASEEEEE FIX OUR iLife again!!!

Thank you so much! I have been having fits with the app store lately and have no desire to fight with synching on my computer. Today I have not been able to do any updates all day - everything else in the app store works fine but I just get a blank page on the updates (not even an error message). I tried everything I could find including the funky trick of changing the time and nothing helped. I turned off Genius like you suggested and it worked immediately - never really cared for it anyway!

I think a lot of us knew this was coming the day after Steve Jobs died. A very buggy and outdated stale IOS, mediocre products releases, stock prices diving,no new inovations at all,and you may also heard about the map problem... Though these problems may have existed under Jobs also, he would not have let it get into the public this far and would have them resolved before any release to the general public. We still don't have simple toggles switches for Wi-FI or bluetooth, while every other phone has it !

This has been bugging me FOREVER. I've had my ipod touch 4th generation for over two years now and everything was working fine. Untill iOS 6, that is. Now my ipod runs really slow on all of my apps and I can barely download an app without the store crashing. The layout of the store is also really strange. I liked the old version better, where after you searched for an app you could just scroll down and pick which one you wanted. Now you have to swipe through tons of apps and the store usually crashes before I can get to the one I want. Other apps that I have can't even be played because of the major lag. And my home button doesn't work, (it just randomly stopped working, no damage I've done to it) so I can't do the hard restart even with the assistive touch thing. I've tried everything from stopping them deleting them and reinstalling them to rebooting and erasing everything. The most annoying thing is that APPLE DOESN'T EVEN SEEM TO CARE. They probably know it runs like this, but won't fix it. Their advice probably is "Buy a new one." NOT ALL OF US ARE RICH. WE CAN'T AFFORD TO SPEND $300 ON SOMETHING IF IT MIGHT NOT EVEN WORK. I've heard of people with brand new ipod 5s that have the same problems as us. It just gets me so frustrated. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
