iOS 6 settings badge won't go away

Upadted to iOS 6 and the settings icon is displaying the red "1" update badge. I've closed settings from running in the background. Restarted device 3 times. Still there.

In the Updates screen, click the "Purchased" bar near the top.

There is a (long) list of apps. On the right, there are buttons.

They are either the iCloud icon or "OPEN". Be patient. Search

through the list to see if apart from the iCloud icon and "OPEN"

there are "UPDATE" buttons. Click on "UPDATE" button(s) and

let the update finish.

The annoying badge should go away.

What I don't get is, what have AppStore Updates to do with a red badge for iOS Updates😕

As far as I understand my iPhone thinks there's a new iOS Version available, but there isn't, I already have iOS 6.1 installed...

When I go to Settings->General->Software Update my iPhone says, that there is no software available, so what!?

I have the same problem on my iPhone 4. I updated to iOS 6.1 and a red badge on the settings icon appeared - looked to see if there was an update but it was already on the latest software. I have tried clearing it with all methods suggested: soft reset, hard reset, checking for an update, Erase All Content and Settings, restoring from backup - nothing works.

Any ideas Apple? Cause I think everyone here has done everything possible to clear it.
