If I use boot camp and partition my drive to use windows and mac os. Will I be able to access files from the Mac partition in windows, and windows files from the Mac partition?
Or will I have to switch partitions every time I wish to access files stored on the other side of the partition?
Sorry if this has been asked. I searched and could not find a simple answer anywhere.
OS X can copy files from the Windows partition but cannot write to it without third-party software such as Tuxera NTFS 2012 or NTFS for Mac OS X 10.0. Windows cannot read or write an OS X formatted disk without third-party software like MediaFour's MacDrive.
Kappy, I believe that if they have installed Boot Camp, and the Boot Camp drivers, then they should have a read-only driver to be able to read files from an HFS+ partition when running Windows. IT still can not write to teh partition without the third party tools, but it should be able to read from it...
Access files from both partitions?
