I wan't to buy HD 720p Movies on iTunes but it says "This cannot be purchase on HD on this computer"

but I can download and play TV Shows in 720p on iTunes on Windows.

My computer specifications:

I got the same message last night when I tried downloading a 720p movie.

My specs meet the minimum requirements but I have an AMD 2.0GHz dual core processor, not an Intel one as specified on the Apple 'minimum requirements' page.

The error message didn't specify what apsect of my specs were causing the problem so I decided to update my graphics card drivers, even though they were only updated a few months ago.

There was a more up-to-date driver available, so I downloaded & installed.

I went back to purchase the same HD movie in iTunes and it worked!

I'm not saying it's going to solve your problem but it might be worth a try!
