ios 6 and calendar reminders for shared calendars?

Same here, mine is turned off but I still get notifcations of the shared calendars. This needs to be fixed NOW!!!

Our Office Manager is having the same problem on her iPhone 4S. She needs to see all staff calendars, which originate on Google Calendar, and sync via calDAV. It seems whatever alert settings the original account owner has set up, she also gets. This even happens for accounts she is not an admin or editor of. I'm installing iOS 7 on my iPhone 5 now too see if it fixes the problem.

Just want to add my name to the list of another person having this annoying problem of getting alerts for everyone else's calendars. Gmail and icloud calendars alike, getting both notifcations and it's doubly annoying!

The only way I found to get rid of these unwanted reminders is to set "default" reminders to none on the iPhone.

It is just a bit annoying as you might forget to put one reminder when you want one, but like this the synch process does not add unwanted reminders to my Google Agenda Events.

This is something that simply prevented me from using my Calendar App (iPad and iPhone) on the work.

C'me on Apple, this is not so difficult to fix.

I fixed this problem by moving to Android. My wife still gets my calendar alerts on her iPhone, but I don't get hers.

I wanted to add to this discussion as another person having similar problems. My husband and I use (and have used for over four years) Google Calendars synced with Apple mobile devices extensively both for work and personal schedules. Since upgrading to the newest OS and having to use calendars through Google instead of the Exchange server, I now receive all the alerts for all of my calendars and all of my husband's calendars. He, however, does not receive alerts for any of our calendars. We have tweaked settings and changed multiple options (and double checked that all our preferences are set the same both on the computer side in Google calendars and on our iPhones) but this problem persists. We are not sure if this is an Apple problem or a Google problem, but we would love to have this resolved!
