iPhone 4s with ios6 signal issues

Im using iPhone 4s with iOS 6, every time i finish a call my signal drops to 0 bars and goes to no service and then automatically gets full signal within a few seconds, this happens every time i finish a call. I was not having the same issues with iOS 5 ot ios 6 beta 4.

Thanks Srinivas

Hello

I arranged a support call on this topic. They told me to reset the networking settings. There is a button for resetting in the Settings menue and you can select what you want to reset.

At least, instead having no signal, I have now a signal with 1 bar. Before it was two to three bars. Slightly improved, but not where it should be. 😟

I have an iPhone 4. It worked fine until I installed iOS6. It now fails to make calls, drops calls, or, when it does almost work, the people I call complain "You are breaking up". Half of my house is now a "dead zone" and out-and-about town it is totally hit-or-miss whether phone will work. No issues before iOS6. Nothing else changed except the new OS - "Cupertino, we have a problem..."

I am having the same issue as everyone. Two days ago I installed iOS6 and now my service is terrible, I either have dropped calls or cannot recieve or make outgoing calls. I tried support with rogers that made me go through resetting restoring etc, and still nothing. Next I will have to check my SIM card. I do think that this is an OS problem not a hardware problem. Can someone update as to why so many people are having this issue and to rectify it?

Hey Guys,.. got some news on this case

I talked to Apple and they gave me the following tips:

1. Backup your Iphone with Itunes

2. Shut down the Iphone, disconnect it from your PC

3. Hold down the Home Button and connect it to your PC. Hold the Button until Itunes states, that the Iphone needs recovery

4. Start the recovery process

This Process differs from the normal Recovery Process because it completley overwrites the Fimrware within the Iphone. The normal Recovery Process only sets the Iphone to factory defaults

My Iphone now works better than before, but not perfect.

Another thing apple said is to change your sim card to the newest available Version from your telephone provicder. Sometimes it happens, that sim cards get incompatible with new modem firmwares.

Good Luck to all of you,.. hope that we will get an update soon which fixes all errors..

Kind Regards

Wolfgang

i will give this a try when i get home. i had to do something similar to this originally. downloading ios6 over wifi is not a good idea. that is what screwed it up the first time. so then i did via the computer through itunes. well everything was fine and dandy til this morning. no im back to where i started. i can not access twitter, facebook, itunes or any other apps. i am going to try to reset the network settings for now and see what happens. if nothing changes i will try the method you got from apple.

thanks for the post

I called Apple and we did the whole reloading the phone from iTunes. I have 4 iPhone and my mom and dad would be 2 more. My 4 are IOS 6 and mom and dad have not updated. In the same room, they have twice the signal as my phones. The iTunes reload I did on my wifes phone which did not help me. I believe this is an Apple issue 100% that needs 6.1 (a patch) to fix.
