time machine slow in 10.7.5

Since updating to 10.7.5 using the Combo updater, Time Machine on my iMac seems much slower. Anyone else seeing this behavior?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5), iMac 21.5 in.; i5; iPad 32Gb iOS 5.

Finally, for me the solution was go back to 10.7.4,

is easy, starting from osx dvd, then reinstall my last time machine backup with 10.7.4 (you can choose from a detailed list) in my case is from 4 days back, and everything works perfect again in a few ours!

about 3 in total for me, spotlight works fine now and time machine too!

My emails, and personal things are safe and updated in a few minutes with icloud!

Best regards!

I tried re-applying 10.7.5 via DMG (turn off Spotlight, delete Spotlight directory, re-apply 10.7.5, enable Spotlight) and indexing was estimating 6 days to complete -- I consider that a failure.

Then I deleted the contents of both caches: system at /Library/Caches , user at ~/Library/Caches. I used the Finder to delete the contents and then emptied the Trash. During emptying some items would not delete so I "continued" anyway. Reboot and then delete the Trash again, to get rid of any leftovers.

After 15 - 20 minutes of estimating (that's a guess), I was at 8 hours remaing to index. Then dropped to 4 hours. Now it's at 5 hours.

That seems to be success to me. I'll try to repost in 5 hours to give my results.

If i downlaod OS X Lion Update 10.7.4 (Client Combo) will my lndex and time matching work like normal?

No, because if you're already at 10.7.5, the 10.7.4 update would be a downdate and wouldn't install.

We all wish it was that simple.

The best solution seems to be reverting to a backup of your 10.7.4 installation if you have one. Or reinstalling Lion and updating it to 10.7.4. On that, though, I'm not sure if the currently available installer would allow you to do that; the 10.7.4 installer was Version 1.0.21 created in May while the most recent installer is Version 1.0.33, created in September.
