I want to get windows vista on the macbook pro with retina display but my first question is this that how do i install it without using a DVD OR CD disk drive, and my second question while installing windows vista do i have to tick mark the install win 7

1. With Boot Camp you can only install Windows 7 nothing less.

2. Using virtual software programs like Parallels or VMware you can install Vista.

3. Without a disk drive? Like how?

And as a "execesive gamer", whatever that is, you likely won't be happy with the performance of your games if running in a virtual environment.

When running Windows in a virtual environment Windows and OSx share your computer's resources such as RAM. Therefore your games can not use all your computer's resources when running.

If you install Windows natively then Windows and your games can and do use all your computer's resource such as RAM.

But as already said, older operating systems are not supported and will not run natively using Boot Camp Assistant. You must use Windows 7 if installing natively in Lion or Moubtain Lion.

The only other OS supported by OS X ML currently on Bootcamp is Win7. No more and no less. Getting other versions to go is nigh impossible and there are NO drivers so functionality will be impaired. While you can get the Windows install media in .ISO format if you have a corporate account, I don't think Bootcamp will let you use that, so you will have to beg/borrow/buy an external USB drive. Installing on a virtualizer (Parallels, VMWare, VirtualBox) can be done using the .ISO image, but performance will not be the same as running "bare metal" via Bootcamp.
