Saving or exporting Photo(s) as email-attachement(s) to iPhoto does not work: Neither "Sichern > Zu iPhoto hinzufügen" nor "Double click on Photo > Selection: Nach iPhoto exportieren". Save the Photo (individual or all) to a folder is ok.
Update iPhoto to actual Version 9.4 did not solve the problem.
MacBook Pro (15-inch Early 2011), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), Newest iPhoto 9.4
There is a way; I got this from another user on this forum:
"Here's a quick workaround.
Open the photo in Quicklook. Hold down the button that reads 'Open with Preview', and you get a downdown menu that offers Add to iPhoto as the second option.
Choose it, and the photo gets added to iPhoto.
Annoying,but not so bad a workaround."
That may work but my question is...why hasn't Apple resolved the issue?
Wow... I'm surprised that people actually give them credit for simply *acknowledging* a bug that should never existed in the first place? Over 5 months now and still no fix. It makes me sad since Apple is historically so reliable and free of dumb problems like this. Instead of realeasing new fangled half baked stuff, it would be wonderful if they would focus instead on making the existing platform as rock solid as past releases. We don't care about new features when the most useful existing ones suddenly stop working.

Finally Apple solved the problem with todays OS X-Update 10.8.3.
Now I can export Mail photo-attachements to iPhoto as it was for updating to 10.8.2
Well, that is great when you want to import something into iPhoto, but it doesn't work when you want to export from iPhoto to, say your desktop and resize the photo while doing so. Very, very annoying.
