iOS 6 battery life

I agree 100%. There *IS SOMETHING WRONG* with iOS 6. I have used this phone every day with the same routine. I plug it in at night when I go to bed, use it as my alarm clock, and unplug it exactly at 7:00am every morning. Every day I run all day long with plenty of battery life. TODAY I am at 32% battery life at 2:35pm. FIX THIS NOW.

I also support this. Battery life for my iPhone 4S has also drastically gotten worse once I updated to iOS 6. I have also asked friends and family, and they told me the same.

My Apple 4s with IOS6.0 has very poor battery life. I used to be able to go 2 days on s single charge. Now I'm lucky to get 6-8 hours. Come on Apple give us a fix soon!!

Ditto here. My 4 would average 2 normal days of usage before the 20% warning message. It's not even 5pm on the first day of a full charge and I'm just above 30%. What's up?

Same here. Used to charge my 4S every two days with 5.1 but now is not reaching the end of the first day with 6.0. I tried to disable all of the new features but no luck.

Ditto. My iPhone 4S with IOS6 and full battery completely discharges in about 7 to 8 hours, vs the 2 days. I've disabled navigation, notifications, and email fetch new data off. The phone was in standby the majority of the time. i did not place or receive any calls in this timeframe, and received about 5 messages. I repeated the test today with the same use and it lasted 7 hours. I hope that Apple is not adopting the Microsoft level of quality wher users pay for the crap and suffer from the "hidden features" and dreadful side effects. So much for the update...hmm..I mean downgrade.

Before IOS 6, I could go to bed with a fully charged 3Gs and by the next morning the phone was still almost fully charged.

Now After IOS 6, ........ by morning the phone is effectively DEAD!

The battery life throughout the day is much worse as well.

My assumption is that there are background tasks involved I've not taken the time to isolate and turn off.

I also assume that IOS 6 works just fine in an iPhone 5. “wink”

Same here. I have gone through all the menus and have turned as much stuff as I can off but it still uses battery at a far greater rate than the old OS.

This IOS ***** big time I lost 7% just writing this ..

29% right now after charging the phone 2 times during the day I'm not kidding , fix this asap please .. Left the house @ 9:30pm with 90% , We ate and just got home and now I have 29%.

Same problem here. OK before upgrading to IOS6 - could it be open app's in the background?

I also have the same problem, and I just got my phone yesterday. Every time I look at my phone another percentage point drops. This is ridiculous.

it's just the opposite here, battery drain, which use to be acceptable with 5.0, became awful with the following updates (5.0.1 until 5.1.1) on a 4S ... it's fine again with iOS6.

Weird because I have seen a dramatic improvement in my 4S battery life since IOS6 in fact yesterday was the first time ever I have managed 24 hours without a charge. Have owned a 3, 3S, and a 4S so am really happy with the improvement.

I've got the same problem. Turn by turn navigation is the a huge drain. I used it the other day and my phone died twenty minutes into the drive. Crazy.
