Yes mine is too, I have the IPhone 4. I'm sick every time there is an update something else goes wrong.  Why release an update when it is obviously not complete.  My Fiancé has also lost use of wi-if it's all greyed out.

Has anyone else noticed that the phone vibrates when choosing a tone for an alarm?

Try it, and tell me if yours does the same.

Clock > Alarm > Edit [any alarm] > Sound > [pick a tone]

I was thinking, "Well, maybe the phone will vibrate now when an alarm goes off (which is kinda pointless - more battery wasted)."

I tested it, and there is no vibration when an alarm goes off, but why have the iPhone (4S for me) vibrate when choosing a tone?

It's just another bug, I guess.

Same here but on the iPhone 5 I have charged it twice today again as i did the same yesterday my iphone was at 100% at 8-30am today and dead by 3pm uk time, this is crap I am afraid I thought it was the iPhone 5 but looking at posts I see it could be ios6 I even did a hard reset yesterday, clearly no difference, THIS NEEDS FIXING NOW, APPLE!

Well, in my opinion the battery life with iOS 6 on iPhone 4S is now much better!

1 % left and I have 8 hrs and 17 minutes usage and 1 day 7 hrs standby time. (I browsed the web, sent some E-Mails with pictures & received some text E-Mails, made some calls, used iMessage, Siri, Facebook, iCal, Contacts and other apps like Dropbox. Also I have 2 E-Mail accounts on "Push" and iCloud activated with all its features, except iCloud Mail and iTunes Match!)

With iOS 5.1.1 I hardly reached 6 hrs usage time.

In my case turning BlueTooth off (which I dont use anyway) fixed my battery problem.

    iPhone 3Gs -

    -- iPhone 5 n the way :-)

Even those of you who use BlueTooth should turn it off as a test then report to Apple if that resolves it

Just switched off my Bluetooth too. Why is that on as a default setting?! Will report back on battery tomorrow. Well done cmoore55!

I never have Bluetooth on unless I need it, but not used it as yet since Friday. This is an issue with ios6 I thin. Needs fixing though.

I have to agree with those who are finding much faster battery drain than with iOS 5.1.1 on my 4S. I've tried restoring and switching off unnecessary notifications. I've also let the battery run out completely and then charged up to 100%.

Just now, my phone skipped straight from 23% to 18%!

Well, contrary to most of you, my iPhone 4s battery life has drastically improved. In the past it was good if I still had any battery left when I got home, but now it runs all day fine and still have ~30% left late in the evening. And I use my iPhone pretty much constantly, from reading books to navigation and checking news on the web. Good trade for me, especially since I happen to have quite good maps up here in the area where I live in an Igloo with polar bears.

Okay, so I turned my phone off for a while, and then turned it back on.

After unlocking the phone, all my e-mails were "pushed."

Even though I have Push Notifications turned off and Mail set to fetching manually, the messages were somehow still pushed to my iPhone 4S.

I think this is why the battery is draining. Somehow, apps are still running in the background even if they're closed (even after double-tapping the Home button and manually closing all apps).

I have both ios 6 on my 4s and my new 5.  I too noticed a significant batterie drainage.  I called apple support and they suggested that if I had restored from icloud to to reset and set up the phone as a new phone.  I hate to do this because I am afraid to lose all my information, so I have turned off all batterie draining functions such as blue tooth, email push, location services in apps I am not using, and so on.  I am letting my phone completely die and then recharging and will see how this works tomorrow.  If I have not seen improvement I will do the reset as instructed.  Wondered if any of you had done this and if so, did it help.  I have great batterie life on my 4s, it's the new 5 which I restored from icloud that is having an issue.  It makes sense that it could be something from the back up but again, until I see some info on here that tells me for sure it is worth it I am not willing to start from scratch.

I restored my iPhone 4S via iTunes yesterday. The drainage is still the same. I was hoping to restore it back to 5.1.1, but that wasn't an option... -_-

I backed up everything on iTunes before I went through the restoration process.

Okay, I read it somewhere in the forum.. in case any one missed it...

I had exact same problem. While I was using the Bible app.. Just reading it, it is like every 2 mins or less, it drops 1% like crazy.. Normally it takes like 10 mins to drop 1%.  Anyhow, I found the way to make it better.

The reason is of course the software itself, but to get around...and there is no need to turn off location service, end background apps, change brightness, turn off 3g,4g, cellular data.. I mean if you do all those things, what is the point of having an Iphone!?

Anyway, the way to fix it (well just to make it a little better though) is to turn off everything on icloud sync.  Settings -> Icloud -> everything should not be checked !!  And then reboot your iphone..

By doing so, I got 1% drop (not idle) every 4 to 6 mins. instead of every 1 to 2 mins.  Well, still bad, but better than before. In other words, if I use the phone, every hour it will drop 15% on a "Reading" use, and it will last only six hours 30 mins. if I continue just to use as Ebook. I am not sure about other application

    p.s. I am using iphone 4

Talking to my friends today, and have you realized why there is bite in the Apple!?  Because there is caterpiller or bug inside somewhere!!
