Scuffs/Scratches On New iPhone 5 Right Out Of The Box

Just opened my iPhone 5 which I ordered from Apple.com. As soon as I opened the box, I noticed nicks and scuffs in the bezel. I realize that at some point this might happen from normal wear and tear, but right out of the box is unaccepted. Is Apple aware of this and if so, what can be done to get this taken care of?

just an update

I went to apple store earlier today and got me a replacement

They gave me a new one on retail box

It still has a few blemish (back plate) but theyre not big so i took the replacement

If it'll bug me in the nex few days I might just go try my luck with another one

Genius was in a rush though, coz he left before i got to open the box

The ones that had dents/nicks, I hope you guys get a good replacement phone

Nice to know I'm not the only one. Just got mine this morning, and there is a nick on the back bevel in the upper left corner. It's very bright compared to the slate finish. There is also a bit of dried glue extruding from the lower seems on the back, but that's easier to deal with.

I honestly don't know if I will go in and ask for an exchange. I would, but the nick is so small that it isn't noticable unless you look for it, and I really don't want to risk getting one that is any worse.

So I went to the apple store yesterday afternoon. They said they could swap my phone but that they were only allowed to open two boxes because they can't sell phones that have been open. Both phones had cosmetic damages. So I had to settle for one that had less damage. I plan on calling apple and see what they recommend. I read in another discussion that they were issuing free cases. Also. My lighting charger has a short. I'll post again after my call to apple.
