download music from iTunes to iPod nano always interrupted
my nano is 4GB and i'm using Toshiba laptop. i disabled one of my enhanced 2.0 USB to get my nano showed up on iTunes. But when i set automatically download all songs in my library to iPod, nano only did 20-40 songs (total in library is 600 songs) then stoped. Alert appeared: "Attempting to copy to the disk (ipod's name) failed. The Disk could not be read from or written to". When i choose to download selected playlist, nano still downloads part of whole playlist. Anybody has solutions for what's going on here?
Thanks for advance.
(if i enable my enhanced 2.0 USB, my nano won't show up in iTunes)
... but it
also sounds like you're getting something else too (if you're getting
"The Disk could not be read from or written to" when you've got USB 2.0 disabled).
let's see if this document is of any help with that issue:
Thanks for ur reference. I solved my problem: Alert "Attempting to copy to the disk <iPod name> failed. The disk could not be read from or written to".
The Problem is when i reinstalled iTunes 6.0.4.2, my song's "encoded with" in "get info" were still iTunes 5..,QuickTime 7.0.2. I manually changed all their encoding to iTunes 6.0.4.2, QuickTime 7.0.4. by converting all of them. Then diabled my enhanced USB 2.0. My nano is perfectly loading.
The only inconvenience i finally got is have to diable enhanced USB 2.0 before connecting iPod to Toshiba Laptop
it might
also be worth going to the Toshiba website, too, to check to see if there is any troubleshooting information on the USB 2.0 ipod recognition-problems there. (it would be nice to have a
better solution than the workaround described in the Toshiba Laptop document.)
