iPhone 5 and "NO SIM CARD INSTALLED" error

Mine is working after the "oven" repair (iPhone heated at 80 degree Celsius for 5 minutes in the oven) since several month now 🙂

It seems that the "spare-part" SIM Tray creates shortcut on NON-NANO SIMs.

(e.g. cutted from normal/Micro SIM).

With original NANO-SIM also the spare-part SIM Tray is working 😉

I took the SIM card out and gave it a thorough wipe with an alcohol based screen wipe. Has worked without incident since. Seems like an intermittent contact problem between the card and the phone. SIM cards really cause more trouble than they are worth in my opinion.

Thanks for posting your experience with the paper clip. I just had the same problem. Got a paper clip and whoo-hoo, did the same blowing and it's working! Hope this fix holds.

Again "NO SIM" now End of June 😠

So, i tried Oven 80 Degrees Celsius -> NOK

Hair dryer into the SIM slot -> NOK

The i made my bread rolls today in the oven at 150 degrees Cels ius.

Afterwards i switched off and placed my iPhone into the oven and waited one hour -> BINGO working again 🙂

MY phone wont work with the sim. Nothing helps ive tried geting a new sim and cleaning it but it doesnt help. I think its a hardware issue. What should i do?
